Nach langer Wartezeit auf Ersatzteile auf der Ile d'Yeu hat uns das französische Festland wieder. Saint Gilles Croix de Vie statten wir nur einen kurzen Besuch ab, dann geht es weiter nach Talmont Saint Hilaire. Dort genießen wir einige sonnige Tage und warten auf den passenden Wind, bevor wir uns nach einer langen Zeit in Frankreich erneut über Biskaya auf den Weg nach Spanien machen. Delphine begleiten uns an allen Tagen, an einem sehen wir sogar in der Ferne einen Wal springen (leider war keine Kamera zur Hand). Natürlich passiert wie immer etwas, in der ersten Nacht reißt das Beiboot von seiner Halterung, am darauffolgenden Tag brechen Mastrutscher bei schlagenden Segeln. In der 2.
