These are just some quick things that I had to do to my boat. Some require good fiberglass and sanding skills. Others are as simple as re-bedding hardware. Granted my boat was stupid light and needed weight added. and It was also thrown 150 meters by a Tornado. Some of these tips are useful for all boats others ,Not so much. Enjoy. Once fixed we head further South to shelter in the bay of San Antonio for the next storms due where we keep another close eye on the lightening strikes. Then we have to head all the way back to Mallorca for major engine repairs in an expensive marina so Yewan decides to take the opportunity to try an busk while Mum re oils the interior floors. When the engine work is complete, we wait for a weather window to head South to mainland Spain. We spent 2 days hiking a 35km portion of the GRG1 trail (La trace des Alizés) up the side of La Soufrière (the Volcano) and back down to sea level. The hike was incredibly challenging but the scenery was well worth it. The pain in our legs will pass, but sleeping in the clouds and the smell of volcanic steam are two things we'll never forget. We started the hike off using the trail to the north of the Castle. We are familiar with which took us high above the castle several months ago. On our adventure we discover 3 different churches, a small ancient village outside of the castle and beautifully preserved buildings throughout. As we approach the lower keep you will note several homes and businesses actively used today. It’s a spectacular specimen and one we’d highly recommend exploring.
