Fixing our Jeep Valve Cover Gasket should have been first on the list to fix, but here we show you how to. Fixing a valve cover oil leak on a jeep is not a hard project, there are some things we have to look at the could cause it to leak again if we installed the gasket wrong. So stay with us and we remove the valve cover, discover why our jeep was leaking oil, and then enact repairs. Get a gasket here: https://amzn.to/2WizFk0 Get some gasket maker here: https://amzn.to/3f9IzZw An impact is nice to have: https://amzn.to/35pmf9L This has to be one of the easiest projects we have done on this jeep, but I guess after doing the front and back gears, a valve cover is nothing. Be sure to go and check out other projects we have done on the jeep wrangler, and other things like our boat, truck, and home. Vlog#23 This time we sail to Santa Maria, Mexico. It was incredibly beautiful. Not many people stop here as there isn't a town with stores to provision in or anywhere to buy diesel, but its definitely worth it. We found a sand dollar beach that was covered in them. We went into an estuary that was very tricky to get into to. It was as though it had its own bar crossing, so we had to time our approach and exit, although we still managed to get soaked on the last wave on the way out. Along the estuary there are many houses and all the locals were kind and waved as we rode by. A panga even waved us over to the right spot to get into the estuary when we were clearly missing the entry way as it is kind of hidden! See you in the next one! -------------------------------- Instagram- @Sailingdecorum --------------------------------- --------------------------------- *WHO ARE WE?* •We are a Canadian couple, Travis and Jessica. Literally and figuratively, Riley Gibbs is a Blockhead. He's a great sailor. If it foils, he sails it. Moths. A-Cats. Nacra 17s. SailGP F50s. He’s an Olympian. And now he’s Helmsman with the American Magic America’s Cup team. Over the years, Riley has become an important part of Harken/Sailor new product collaboration cycles. He happily identifies as a Harken Blockhead. He’s always willing to share his boats and rigging thoughts on camera which is great. He’s quite technical and loves to talk rigging…in other words, he’s a WONK. And we love wonks—inside and outside of Harken.

Destination : Strasbourg

On 25.10.2023 Kitekraft successfully conducted its first grid-connected flight. Even though it was not the priority of this test and low wind conditions prevailed, small amounts of energy were generated and fed into the German power grid. Read our blog post about it here: https://www.kitekraft.de/blog/kitekraft-connects-flying-wind-turbine-demonstrator-to-public-grid Kitekraft develops flying wind energy systems. This approach allows to harvest energy from the wind more efficiently compared to conventional wind turbines, because only 10% of the materials are required for the same nominal power. In this episode, we leave Anaho Bay for Taioha'e Bay to visit the dentist and get Brown's cracked molar fixed. Yikes! What a painful disaster! But, with the tooth "stable" we decided to take off for Daniel's Bay, not feeling confident to head off to the Tuatmotus with all of our friends! And, we are SO glad we did not go as Daniel's Bay was one of our favorite spots in all of the Marquesas. Check out our video to find out why! #frenchpolynesia #sailing #passage #marquesas #nukuhiva #dentist #dentalemergency NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! The preserve consists of three tracts: Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park Serenova Tract Anclote River Ranch Tract The preserve is the culmination of foresight and cooperative spirit of individuals and governmental agencies working to carry forth “one man’s dream.” The park is named after Jay B. Starkey, Sr., who purchased the land in 1937 and then developed a cattle ranch and timber operation. In 1975, Mr. Starkey donated several hundred acres to the District, initiating the concept of permanently protecting the land and its resources for future generations. The Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park is a regional park managed by Pasco County that features a paved trail that connects to the 42-mile Suncoast Trail; picnic shelters; hiking, biking and equestrian trails; a primitive campground; and camping cabins. The Serenova Tract is managed by the District for passive nature-based outdoor recreation activities. This tract has limited amenities and provides visitors a more rustic outdoor experience. The tract is a favorite for horseback riding with trails that wind through all major natural communities on the preserve. Equestrian and primitive camping is also available at Serenova. The prominent natural communities within the preserve are pine woods, cypress domes, freshwater marshes, stream and lake swamps, sandhill and scrub. The 2,300 acres of wetland communities in Serenova combine with the wetlands in the Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park to form a connected 6,000-acre wetland ecosystem spread throughout approximately 18,000 acres of conservation lands. Public acquisition of these lands has maintained this large wetland system as a functioning intact ecosystem. This vast network of scattered wetlands become interconnected during periods of high water levels and serves as a vital life cycle linkage for many wetland-dependent species. Like many District properties, the preserve serves as a natural buffer for one of the region’s main freshwater resources, the Pithlachascotee River. The lands protect water quality by acting as a natural filter of surface water as it flows across the landscape into the Pithlachascotee River and its main tributary, the Anclote River. The Preserve also serves as a recharge area for a regional well field operated by Tampa Bay Water that is an essential component of the multi-county water supply system that supplies drinking water to the greater Tampa Bay area. Another less visible benefit of these lands is the vital link they play in assuring that the Gulf of Mexico receives the clean fresh water that is needed to maintain the long-term health of the coastal estuaries. Without a source of clean fresh water, the estuaries could not serve as the vital link in the life cycle of numerous species of birds; aquatic plants, such as seagrass; and popular fish species, such as redfish, sea trout, and mullet.
