We leave Sweden and sail to Denmark and have to deal with some engine issues. When we managed to solve it we sail through the Kiel Canal to the North Sea and after that into the waterways of the Netherlands. The thought of the day. A friend of mine messaged out of concern about the dinghy that seems to cover our forward hatch. My first video in over a year! Me and Safar are still going strong, this season we will be sailing in UK Waters, with the ultimate goal of arriving in Scotland and linking up with my brother, so we can cruise both of our long keel sailboats together.

Season 5 Episode 92 - Sailing from Port Townsend to Neah Bay On this weeks episode we set off with high hopes of getting some sea miles behind us. The Auto pilot returned to its previous behavior and before long it was joined by an engine alarm as we began to beat into building seas near to Cape Flattery. Oh yes and then there was the fun task of hand scooping out the bilge which was full of a mixture of diesel fuel and water making all of the sleeping quarters almost unbearable to be in due to the fumes.... The captain made the right call for us to turn back and head for the last safe port before the Cape: Neah Bay, Washington.
