Here is my review of the two different brands of Anti-Nausea bands. The EmeTerm is a clear winner. It's half the cost and has a more comfortable band. It also charges much easier. The Reliefband comes with a very short cord that doesn't stay connected. It disconnects with the slightest movement of the boat. In this week’s sailing vlog, we continue our journey across the South China Sea and arrive at Tioman Island, Malaysia — a paradise known for diving, snorkeling, lush jungles, and tropical beauty. After a 3-day sail, we reached Tioman and safely picked up a mooring. But challenges came early — our dinghy wouldn’t start during domestic check-in! Thankfully, a fellow sailor helped us out, turning stress into friendship. This episode was even more special as we celebrated Vaidehi’s birthday underwater. With Tioman Reef Divers, we explored coral reefs, spotted an eel, and even swam with 4 stingrays. We also had our very first cave dive — an unforgettable experience! Later, we teamed up with Patrick & Sarah, an experienced diving couple from Singapore (200+ dives logged at Tioman). Together, we explored Chebeh Island and Malang Rock, two of Tioman’s top dive sites. Just when we thought the adventure was done, a sudden squall hit us at anchor. Strong winds tested our boat life skills, but quick action kept us safe. This week aboard S/V Deinde, we soak up the final magic of Curaçao. We climb to the top of historic Fort Beekenburg for some epic views, snorkel the crystal-clear waters of Tugboat Beach surrounded by curious fish, and go searching for flamingos in the salt flats (spoiler: we found something much more peculiar 😆 ). 🌵🦩 We end our time here with a cozy sailor bonfire on the beach, saying goodbye to the incredible friends we’ve made along the way as we get ready to set sail for Aruba. ► Nous avions découvert ce powercat sportif à Miami en février dernier… pour sa première européenne, l’Aquila 42 apporte du nouveau puisqu’il intègre une puissante motorisationVolvo de 2 x 440 ch. Lors de notre essai dans le golfe de Fréjus, nous avons dépassé les 40 nœuds. Les foils livrés en série se révèlent particulièrement efficaces entre 20 et 30 nœuds ; il permet en effet de réduire la consommation tout en augmentant le confort de navigation. Quant au système DPI permet des manœuvres incroyablement faciles et la possibilité de « figer » le powercat, ce qui est très utile au moment de l’amarrage. Sur l’eau, avec sa silhouette ramassée, le 42 Coupe se positionne d’entrée de jeu dans la catégorie des powercats sportifs. Le design se veut plutôt moderne, relativement discret, mais aussi conforme avec les standards américains : les étraves conservent ainsi une forte pente « conventionnelle ». A bord, on peut compter sur de vastes espaces de détente. Dans la nacelle, un salon, une grande cuisine et une timonerie intérieure deux places bien protégée sont aménagés. De multiples ouvertures (porte avant, toit ouvrant) faciliteront la circulation autant que l’aération. Dans chaque coque, une cabine double (celle de bâbord est légèrement plus vaste) avec salle d’eau privative est proposée.
