After failing to get run last season and sitting all winter, will my 2 stroke 6.0 hp Hangkai outboard run? She is a hard start and stalls right away. After changing the fuel and spark plug I then go onto removing and cleaning the carburetor. Total cost next to nothing. I was able to reuse the gaskets. Carb kits can be purchased online. If you are having difficulty starting or your outboard stalls out, then this video might help. Hope you have success with your outboard and a great summer on the water.

⛵️ Sailing a Moody 31 Mk2 on the River Stour + Making the Ultimate Boat Lunch: The Shotley Roll! 🍴 In this episode of The Sailing Chef, I team up with Tim, a fantastic viewer of the channel who invited me aboard his Moody 31 Mk2 sailing yacht, Aubin. We set off from Shotley Marina, locked out, and enjoyed a relaxed sail up the River Stour with perfect conditions—10–16 knots of wind on the beam, just how we like it! Of course, no day on the water is complete without something tasty. So I cooked up a brand-new creation: a cross between a sausage roll and a Cornish pasty, filled with steak, cheese, onions, potatoes, mushrooms, mustard, and mayo, all wrapped in buttery shortcrust pastry. We proudly named it... The Shotley Roll. 🥟🔥 The video includes: ✔️ Sailing a Moody 31 Mk2 ✔️ Shotley Marina lock-out & River Stour cruise ✔️ Easy, hearty boat-friendly lunch recipe ✔️ Boat tour of 'Aubin' ✔️ Chilled day with great company and conversation Whether you're into UK coastal sailing, cooking on a sailboat, or just love seeing what’s possible in a small galley, this one’s for you. 🛎️ Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell so you never miss a recipe, a reef, or a reef steak roll! #SailingUK #Moody31 #ShotleyMarina #RiverStourSailing #TheSailingChef #BoatCooking #SailingRecipes #LiveaboardLife #SailingLife #EasyBoatMeals #MoodyYachtTour #SailboatLife #TheShotleyRoll #GalleyCooking

We made it to San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and things got interesting fast! From sneaking through fences for food to flying kites at the fort, exploring Old San Juan, and watching Dune 2 with Spanish subtitles — it was a wild few days. After some provisioning (and discovering our A/C was broken ), we had an unexpected encounter with a tanker that forced us to move anchor in the dark. Then it was off to Culebra — jeep rides, beach views, and pizza to end it all. It wasn’t the smoothest stop, but definitely one to remember! Watch to see how we handled it all!⸻ 📍 Places We Visited: 🇵🇷 San Juan, Puerto Rico 🍝 Olive Garden 🍿 Distrito T-Mobile 🏰 Castillo San Felipe del Morro (El Morro Fort) 🎏 Old San Juan (kite flying tradition!) 🛒 Walmart ⛵️ Culebra, Puerto Rico ⚓️ Southern Anchorage 🏖 Flamenco Beach 🚙 Jeep Island Tour 🍕 Local Pizza Spot Next Stop: 🇻🇮The Virgin Islands

This week, join us as we discover the excitement to be found in the hills of Medellin, Colombia! That's right, we're in South America and we have stumbled across the most painful insect known to man. The tarantula hawk wasp has the most painful sting in the animal kingdom, scoring a whopping four points on the Schmidt Pain Index! What we don't mention in this week's travel blog is how we stumbled upon this terrifying insect. It's too good of a story to pass up, so I'll fill you in now! Picture this: the two of us out in the forests of Santa Elena, Medellin. High in the foothills of the Andes at 2500 meters/8400 feet. So not only are we jet lagged from our flight across the Atlantic, but also a bit head achy and short of breath from the altitude. Sea level to cloud forest is quite the shock! But despite our tired bodies asking us for a nap, we decided to push through our sluggish states and stretch our legs to see what the eucalyptus forest had to offer us. A few miles in, a metallic blue insect with red wings caught our eye. We had no idea what this was, and no cell service to inquire, so we did what any curious hiker might do and tried to get closer to our curious specimen. Perhaps we could scoop it up on a stray leaf or fallen branch and have a good inspection. Lucky for us, this South American insect is not interested in eating gringos for lunch, and only has it's sights set on huge venomous spiders. The blasted things kept flying away from us! And in our naivety, we kept running closer. And closer. And closer. Chasing them around like a toddler at their first soccer game who's just spotted a colorful butterfly. By the time we got home, we'd nearly forgotten about the thing, and it would probably have been better if we did! Now every time we go out walking into the thick cloud forests of Medellin, we're hyper aware of these little guys. And as is the case with nearly all insects, they couldn't care less about us. They're not aggressive, and do everything in their little bug bodied power to avoid us big stomping humans. Funnily enough, a few days later we went out hiking with some locals, and as we passed by an area that was particularly inundated with what we now knew to be * The Most Painful Insect In the World * , we pointed them out and told them what we had learned, and they were completely shocked to hear that these lovely blue wasps had such a terrifying reputation, and also completely unconcerned. They'd been living their whole lives in the foothills of the Andes and had never once heard of anyone being stung by these beautiful creatures. So now you know for when you too decide to travel to Colombia! Yes these guys have a scary reputation, but if you don't bother them, they won't bother you! Or as you see in this video.. even if you bother them, they still won't bother you! I'm not sure what you need to do to get stung by one of these, but we're not interested in finding out. Stick around to see what we get up to in the next weeks as we put out some different travel adventure blogs than what you're used to from us! The Andes mountains have so much to offer us, and Medellin is just our first stop as we make our way around Colombia.

This week aboard our sailboat, we made huge progress on the deck refit — but the weather had other plans. Our main goal was to prep and paint the rear deck, including the sugar scoops, helm stations, and transom alley. The process started strong: days of sanding, fiberglass repairs, fairing, and priming. Everything was ready for paint… until temperatures in Virginia dropped too low for proper curing. So for now, we’re calling it “good enough” with primer — the paint will have to wait until we reach warmer weather farther south. It’s not the finish we hoped for, but that’s real-life boat work for you. In between coats (and rain), we also tackled several smaller but important jobs: ⚓ Rebedding bolt rope rails to prevent leaks 🛠️ Rebedding safety rails for better security under sail 🔩 Replacing deck hatch latches for smoother operation Even with the setback, it’s satisfying to see progress — and we’re one step closer to having a freshly finished deck when spring returns, or we get south to warmer weather. ⛵ In This Episode: Deck prep & priming process Cold weather challenges in Virginia Rebedding rails & hatches Real-life DIY refit aboard our sailboat ☝More about us, our adventures, and how we do all this on our website. Join Katia Damborsky for a deep dive into the biggest stories shaping the superyacht world right now. In this episode, Katia breaks down several major new-build updates, design launches and behind-the-scenes insights from across the industry. We start with Oceanco’s new 111-metre DreAMBoat on sea trials — a successor to the earlier 90m yacht and designed once again by Espen Øino with interiors by Mark Berryman. Katia compares the two yachts and explores why some owners choose to “repeat” their favourite designs, touching on examples like Moonrise and Pi. We then look at Lürssen’s Project Defy, a yacht of around 150 metres seen moving through the German canals toward outfitting. While the designer hasn’t been confirmed, Katia discusses the likely candidates and what this means for the top end of the build market. From Italy, Katia highlights the new Sanlorenzo SHE (Heritage) — a retro-styled model with Volvo Penta hybrid IPS propulsion, an electric tender and synthetic teak designed to stay cool underfoot. There’s also a valuable viewer question answered: how Passenger Yacht Code works, why some yachts can carry up to 36 guests underway, and how this affects construction, materials and safety requirements. Finally, Katia shares what’s coming next for the channel, including a Sunseeker filmed in the Bahamas and a new Mangusta shoot in Monaco. If you’re a yacht buyer, a broker, or simply passionate about superyachts and shipyard activity, this update gives you a clear, engaging snapshot of what’s happening across the industry right now. #SuperyachtNews #Oceanco #Lurssen #Sanlorenzo #YachtingIndustry #SuperyachtLaunch #YachtMarket #YachtBuyers #YachtDesign #YachtsForSaleBlog To follow Katia on Instagram: www.instagram.com/theyachtwriter Follow us also on YouTube @Yachtsforsaleblog @YachtsforCharter @yachtbuilders And our partner's channels: @MarineMaxOnline @FraseryachtsSuperyachtSales @NorthropJohnson If you are interested in becoming a yacht broker: yachtbrokermasterclass.com And if you would like to keep updated on events at the Yachts For Sale YouTube team you can join the free INSIDE INFO newsletter at yachtsforsaleblog.com
