Tips and Tricks for Docking a Larger Sailboat So rather than do an extended written essay like last episode, this time I decided to add voiceovers to the video, which is a less cumbersome way of getting to the same place. Wendy’s brother David came to visit for two weeks, which gave us time for an extended adventure. Starting at the main port of St Georges / Port Louis, we explored the south coast of the island, then headed up to Carriacou for some snorkeling time, before heading back down and doing a second tour of the south coast. All of this gave us a huge amount of footage that ranged from snorkeling through giant schools of fish to sailing in epic conditions, to hiking up to waterfalls and the volcanic crater atop the island of Grenada. We have a day out in the Dutch city of Groningen, before having the absolute pleasure of passing right through the middle of the city with Tapatya on the canal network. This episode is in two parts: First we show some, (though not all), of the kit we use regularly. The second part is a brief example of the different types of environments we have been and used the equipment mentioned. We like to go to the regions where less have been. That changes one's strategy a little. We need to be self reliant. Successfully executing a well planned strategy gives most people a great sense of satisfaction. Remember, "No plan survives first contact", to quote a good friend who coaches this specialist field (29). Thanks for taking the time to watch our videos.
