Most cabin tops have a plywood or foam core. Today I the repair port-light leaks in a way that prevents water from port-light leaks from being able to enter the plywood core. Hopefully this is a permanent repair to a very common sailboat problem. Removing the plywood surrounding the port-light and replacing it with a solid fiberglass core, so all hardware will be going through the fiberglass instead of the plywood as it originally did, I'm no longer relying on the bedding around the port-light to prevent water intrusion. The Australian Sailing Awards event was delivered digitally in 2021, with all award winners announced during a special 1-hour event on the Australian Sailing Facebook page from 7:30pm AEDT on Thursday 25 November. So I have to give my wife lots of love because Reverie's Cushions have been sitting in the living room of our home since September of 2020 when we had them all done. Like all boat refits, you fix one thing and then find several more that need attention. We finally got enough done to clear Reverie in order to get to he boards. We had to reinforced the hatch boards on the v-Berth in order to replace the mattress and finally install all of our cushions. In addition we had to build a new hatch for the hole from the old A/C that was in the quarter berth and also a new hatch for our anchor locker which I made out of starboard. Here are the timeframes. Willem Johannes has moved to the new harbour, Monnickendam, in the Netherlands. This journey, however, was not as smooth as anticipated. We had problems with our rudder during the transit. In the end, we landed safely on our new berth. Monnickendam is a charming historic town in the Dutch province of North Holland, located on the coast of the Markermeer, about 15 kilometres from Amsterdam. Founded by monks in the 14th century, it received city rights in 1355 and was once an important port. Today, Monnickendam is known for its well-preserved historical centre with cobblestone streets, centuries-old architecture, and landmarks like the 17th-century weigh house and the bell tower from 1591. Marina Monnickendam is a modern marina located in the heart of this picturesque town, offering 550 berths for both permanent residents and visitors.

Athens in April 2023 hosted the 2nd Yachting Awards Gala, an event that honors all key players of Greece’s yachting and marine tourism sectors.

Mediterranean conditions saw six RCSSC volunteers take out both Squibs and our Soling for our CSSC Taster Sail guests (3 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon). The wind picked up to a F3-4 , warm, dry and sunny conditions. After a safety briefing it was time to issue buoyancy aids and it was time to head to the pontoon and joint he boats and RCSSC Helms for a sail on Rutland Water. In the morning we headed out on the south leg towards Manton and in open water we got the boats heeling and sailing well. In the afternoon we headed over towards Whitwell and dipped into the Northern leg of Rutland Water. All our guests and our volunteers had a wonderful sail in good company. We sail into Portofino Italy. We leave Portofino and sail for Arenzano. Ruff swelly day with weird winds. Austins been really into reading his new book and decides eating scrambled eggs with crackers is better... also destroys an omelette. We cross the border from Italy to France, this will be the last of our time in Italy.
