This week's video shows the prep work in landscaping and then a timelapse of the artist painting for 2 days in about 2 minutes. It looks really cool. I have lived aboard my 25 foot sailboat for a year now. A journey from Lake Michigan to Kentucky Lake so far. I sailed 500 NM from Craig, AK to Vancouver BC Canada in 2020. The entire trip was done in 3 legs. I started off in Feb. 2020 and left SUNLINE in Prince Rupert, BC due to COVID until June 2020 when restrictions were eased up. Finally, in September 2020 I sailed the last leg from Port McNeill, BC to Shelter Island Marine in Vancouver BC. Después de una estancia de 10 días en esta bonita y pequeña isla del Caribe, Canouan y descansando en su exclusiva Marina continuamos rumbo norte hasta nuestro próximo destino, Bequia, queríamos parar en la isla privada de Mustique que se ve a estribor, pero ya la habían cerrado por la pandemia. La navegación al igual que en la mayoría de las ocasiones es divertida, con vientos mantenidos de entre 15 y 18 nudos del ENE. Esta vez tuvimos que ceñir algo mas, con lo que la velocidad del barco pocas veces subía de los 7 nudos. No pescamos ya que había gran cantidad de sargazos que se enredaban en la linea, pero aun así muy divertida.

Världens vackraste strandpromenad. Visst får man väl lite partiskt säga så som Varbergsbo? Att strandpromenaden finns här i Varberg vet de flesta om, men att den kom till helt genom ideella krafter och insamlade medel är kanske mindre känt. 💡 Initiativet till byggandet av Strandpromenaden hade kommit redan i slutet av 1800-talet men först år 1909 påbörjades arbetet med byggnationen med stadsläkaren Johan Severin Almer i spetsen. Han bildade sällskapet Varbergs Strandpromenader. Ett sällskap som hade som uppgift att anlägga en strandpromenad utmed havet mellan Kallbadhuset och Apelvikens kustsanatorium. 🧡 Redan samma år gav vi på Varbergs Sparbank vårt bidrag till byggandet av Strandpromenaden som sedan invigdes sommaren 1912. 🧡 När man sedan något år senare ville förlänga promenaden söderut ner mot stora Apelviken betalade Varbergs Sparbank hälften av markinköpet. Sammanlagt har vi bidragit med drygt 5 000 kr för skapandet av världens vackraste Strandpromenad. Tacksamma för medborgarinitiativ som skapat platser som dessa, som vi nuförtiden så självklart går våra morgon-, middag- och kvällspromenader på.

Besides our trip to the Revillagigedo Islands (Socorro, Sand Benedicto and Roca Partida) we also visited the carribean side of Mexico. We stayed in Playa del Carmen and went to different Cenotes in the area and also took a boat trip to Cozumel for one day (great visibility and lots of fish but hysteric guides). Luckily the the Bull sharks were still in the area so we also were able to see them from not so far away. Also the Remoras were there and very playful. Many thanks to the crew of the DiveMex dive centre for organizing all our trips and always taking care of us during our dives and the sometimes long car/boat drives.
