September 2020 We have a mizzen staysail what we never used before. Time to check it out. It didn't go that well, when we took it down we went faster. But gave us a nice shade for a while. A learning moment for sure. We'll get better with more use. We wanted a furler for the storm jib on our inner forestay and also a new one of the same brand (Selden) for our Genoa before we put on our new sails. So these were added in Lemmer by DeVries Maritiem. They will also be making our new sails. Music by Troy and Paula Haag Michael also tried his hand at making some music. He's used to be an engineer/producer and is not a musician. Hope it doesn't hurt your ears. Enjoy watching

We found a little friend while moving our family sailboat from Bellingham to Port Townsend through the Puget Sound. It was further away than the camera made it seem, which is why we weren't sure if it was a log or a seal??... I had a day on my own this weekend so I set about getting some boating jobs done!! First up was getting a new coat of paint on Piglet 2, my Seahopper. She's due in the water in a few week's time so I need to get the paint on now to make sure it hardens in time. Next was to brace my Outboard stand thats got a little bit wibbly recently!! Lastly I 3D print some enhanced jib hank clips that not only allow me to pass the Jib downhaul neatly through them, but also act as a better way to pull the clips on and off. He started his brokerage career with Martin Bird & Associates in Annapolis in 2014. Open Food Markets in the Pacific Islands are remarkable commercial, visual, cultural and socially exciting sites. They are also a super fun shopping experience for the visiting yachtsman that spends hours picking each fruit and vegetable to stockpile for consumption while at sea. With their plethora of exotic fruits and vegetables these markets entice the yacht chef to take advantage of the locally grown freshly available produce instead of cooking with ingredients that are bottled, dried or canned. Much of the produce available is unfamiliar to the western visitor thus offering amazing inspiration for creative recipes. I intend with this video to showcase these semi magical places, in all their beauty, variety and vibrant energy. We could even say that these markets are mini Whole Foods look alikes, historically spread across many islands and countries of the Pacific basin.

Austin replaced the rocker cover gasket that had been leaking for some time. Had to order the gasket through a Yanmar dealer. Cost a fortune. He also fixed a water leak in the sea water heat exchange. Bayly and Austin head for the Monaco Fun Fair at Port Hercule. We have been stuck at a Marina for over a week and a half due to insanely huge dangerous swells and extreme wind and storms. Lenny gets to go to the grocery store! The swell enters our marina and leads to some uncomfortable days. Lenny takes his regular walk every morning to the koi fish pond to visit the fish he loves. We walk though the massive rose garden of Monaco. Lenny goes to the vet, bloodwork is back to normal but his gallbladder is still full of sludge on the ultrasound so he must continue treatment to avoid it rupturing. Looking for our weather window to escape Monaco and head for Nice France. We need to go to our health exam for our France passports.
