Catch and cook Barracuda and snapper aboard a 36' sailboat. Is Barracuda toxic? Lets taste test it! A look inside what life is like out on the waters of the Florida Keys and how I go about cooking on a boat. Just because it's a tiny house on the water doesn't mean you have to relegate yourself to bologna sandwiches! Delicious food is waiting right outside, so its time to hook and cook it! Anchored on the Gulf side of Marathon, Florida were we can catch dinner literally within a couple hundred yards of the boat. Beats farm to table by a long shot. Catch and cook is the way to go! $30 a plate seafood dinner pulled right out of the water, it doesn't get any more fresh than this! I know a lot of Americans consider barracuda to be a trash fish thanks to ciguatera toxicity, but that's just 'cause they don't know the whole story. Barracuda is delicious! I would even say better than the snapper we had cooked up side by side! Firm flesh, no fishy taste or odor, pure tasty fillets. No problems with barracuda so long as you harvest the smaller ones. Ciguatera can be in the older, larger fish since the toxin accumulates of the life of the fish, biomass accumulation or some such technical thing. If you haven't tried it yet, I strongly suggest you do (15-20" are the best, personally!) This is a review of Lego Star Wars Armored Assault Tank, Set 75283. This Set is a must have for any Clone wars fan. It comes with both Ahsoka Tano in Mandalorian stile armor and a 332nd Company trooper with helmets were painted in a stylized version of her face. These characters where shown in season 7 of the Star Wars Clone wars series. This was a nice little build. Note: I made an error when I said that the Ahsoka where only in two episodes. It was in four episodes. First seen in Ep 9 Old Friends Not Forgotten. DISCLAIMER: In this video I do show an alternative head peace that is NOT official Lego! I am not promoting the sale of Knockoff Lego, this is the first and only time I have ever bought an unofficial minifigure and it was only to substitute a peace for a set I already own. I strongly encourage others to only buy authentic Lego. This head peace is a unique mold that is not offered by Lego and Lego has not created a comparable please that is screen accurate to Ahsoka Tano in Season 7. Please do not ask where I bought this please. If in the future, Lego creates a peace that is screen accurate. I will be buying that set and peace to swap out and then just through this peace in the trash! I hope you enjoy the Video. This is a Great set for Adult Collectors! The channel will talk about Lego and the adult perspective of collecting Lego. I will be posting video reviews of current sets, modifications that I have created (Mods), And my own creation (Mods). We hope you enjoy the new direction we are going with this channel. Thank you for your continued support. Regards Due North Bricks :) #LEGO #LEGOReview #DueNorthBricks

A reminder how awesome can be.

Our DIY Boat refit progress during a wet and very windy half term holiday. Despite winds over 50mph and lots of rain we made more progress on our Bow Roller (including testing it with both chain and the 30kg Spade anchor). Jane started making our Dyneema Chainplates. Plus lots of destruction in our saloon with new plans for the layout. We are refitting a 44 year old Rival 38 for a Sustainable Sailing retirement in a few years. Two years ago, when we bought Vida she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings. We have removed all the gas, diesel and paraffin equipment, and are installing all electric (motor, cooking etc). Now that the inside is dry (thanks to new windows, new hatches and leak chasing) we are fitting her out for live-aboard world cruising. It's the first race of the season due to the lock-downs and I'm asked if I will help out on the safety boats for the race. Of course i'll have to put up with charging around at 35 knots and being regaled with sailing stories all day by the club bosun!

We met the captain and crew of the Jon Seagull on her way out of the locks for a day of fishing. Here, we watched as she came in. You can watch more on their channel; https://www.youtube.com/@sailingwithaweirdo/featured These are interesting lock doors as they open inward. If anyone knows the name or type of lock gates, please leave a comment. Watch as the water is allowed to fill the lock.

The last 2 times we visited Charleston, it was only for a couple of days. We really didn’t get to spend much time exploring the city and its historic buildings and streets. Since we had a full week, we had plenty of time to walk all over the downtown area. And boy, did we walk! With Sophie in her stroller, we clocked about 25 miles in just the first 3 days there. We were able to explore most of the historic area's landmarks and mansions as well as the beautiful campus of the College of Charleston. We walked through Joe Riley Waterfront Park and Battery Park. Checked out mansions and buildings on South Battery Street, Legare Street, Tradd Street, Church Street, and East Bay Street, also known as "Rainbow Row." We also strolled through the Charleston City Market, one of the nation’s oldest public markets. Established in the 1790’s, the market spans 4 city blocks and is home to over 300 vibrant entrepreneurs. We also took a water taxi over to Patriots Point were we explored the WWII aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, destroyer USS Laffy and the Vietnam Experience Exhibit. According to feedback from the 223 exhibitors and organisers, the 54th Sydney International Boat Show, held from 3 to 6 August, was a resounding success. Andrew Fielding, President of the BIA, reported that attendance numbers were up on Thursday and Friday, averaging around 6,000 visitors per day, while Saturday's attendance remained similar to the previous year. Overall, the total attendance reached 46,919, indicating an increase from the previous year. Ocean Media, along with their stand sponsors Benetti Yachts, Pantaenius Australia, and Burgess, hosted the Ocean Club Lounge, which proved to be a highly successful attraction for owners, captains, and VIPs. Chris Santon, Head of Burgess Australia, expressed his satisfaction with this year's Sydney Boat Show, stating that it was one of the best he had experienced. He emphasised the strong partnership with Ocean Media and the solid relationships with fellow sponsors, affirming the value of continuing this collaboration. James MacPhail, Managing Director of Pantaenius Australia also a Stand Sponsor of the Ocean Club Lounge, praised SIBS 2023 for its organisation and presentation. He highlighted the solid customer interest and engagement they experienced during the show, which proved highly successful for their branding efforts. MacPhail also mentioned that they sent 853 tickets to customers, many of whom visited their stand and expressed gratitude. Their strategic positioning within the ICC and the marina within the Ocean Media Lounge further contributed to their positive experience. Andy Young from BSA (Boating Syndication Australia) enthusiastically described SIBS 2023 as the best show in 15 years. He noted that people were eager to make purchases, with extra cash and a desire for entertainment and relaxation. Young emphasised that boating was viewed as the best way to embrace the sentiment of living life to the fullest. Richard Morris, Director of Australian Superyachts and distributor for Gulf Craft in Australia and NZ, expressed his delight at showcasing the largest vessel at the show, the impressive Bluestone, a Nomad 101. He was proud to demonstrate the strength of the Gulf Craft brand in Australia and received fantastic feedback regarding the quality, size, and value for money of their vessels. Mark Elkington, Director of Yacht Sales Co., which represents various brands including Dufour, Fontaine Pajot, Tesoro, Absolute, and Iliad Catamarans, described the show as excellent for all the brands they showcased. He highlighted their approach of providing information and showcasing their boats, which resulted in significant interest, several sales, and multiple sea trial arrangements. With the success of this year's event, anticipation is already building for the 55th Sydney International Boat Show scheduled for 1 to 4 August 2024. sydneyboatshow.com.au Video by Roman Liebich Photography

As Fall comes to an end we are having a great time hanging out with family. This week started off with a fun hike in Zion with Matt's sister's family. Utah is really pretty during fall! We all enjoyed driving our side by sides, ATVs, and bikes during the evenings. Next day we all went for a walk in Mueller Park, it's very special place to us! We (Matt and Gina) were here 16 years ago (You'll find out why 😜). The next day we took all the kids to play and then, back to Southern Utah! The go kart track is looking sick 😎. The next day, after going on a trail on the bikes, we took the Jeep to a place where most people get stuck. Crazy idea, but we pulled it off 😮💨 The next few days we took care of our property work and hung out up in Centerville. The winter is almost here! 🥶 As always, thanks for watching and stay tuned for the next episode! ❤️ Enjoyed the video?
