Die Olympischen Spiele 2021 waren für Segeldeutschland ein riesen Erfolg. Die zehn TeilnehmerInnen, sieben davon aus dem NRV Olympic Team, haben Großartiges geleistet und einfach alles gegeben, und das hat sich am Ende ausgezahlt: Sechs Medaillen brachten die Segler und Seglerinnen aus Enoshima/Japan mit nach Haus. Aus dem NRV Olympic Team holte das 49er-Duo Erik Heil und Thomas Plößel Bronze und die 49er FX-Seglerin Susann Beucke ersegelte mit Steuerfrau Tina Lutz (SC Prien am Chiemsee) Silber. Am 13. August empfing der NRV zusammen mit Sponsoren, Partnern, Politikern, Familie und Freunde seine olympischen Segler und Seglerinnen voller Freude im Clubhaus zu einem feierlichen Gala-Abend, bei dem die olympischen SportlerInnen und ihre hoch spannenden Erlebnisse und Geschichten im Mittelpunkt standen. ... aber ein paar Sonnenstrahlen konnten wir noch einfangen. Gefühlt waren dieses Jahr noch nicht so viele Segelyachten vor Warnemünde am Start. Das schöne Wetter und die Aussicht auf nur noch 4 verbleibenden Rennen bis zum Winter motivierten hierbei sicherlich ... Anfangs recht große Abstände relativierten sich bis zum Ziel und dann gab es noch durch die Fähre aus Gedser kommend einen leichten Eingriff in den Wind bzw. etwas untypisch gab es einen Zieher über Links, was nochmal für Spannung kurz vor dem Leuchtturm sorgte. Bei einsetzender Dunkelheit war der genaue Zieleinlauf aus dem Feld heraus nicht mehr erkennbar, aber die Ergebnisse der Mittwochsregatta finden sich ja bestimmt bald bei https://www.wscev.de/MitReg/2023/MitReg23-Ergebnisse

Der Film hierzu ist etwas länger geraten, aber es wird ja auch wieder dauern, bis es im Frühjahr neues Filmmaterial gibt. Kommt gut über den Winter und wir sehen uns zur neuen Segelsaison auf der Ostsee.
