It was a rough crossing but we made it to The Bahamas. We checked in at Bimini. There were some heavy winds coming so we stayed at the Blue Water Marina. We watched a SpaceX Rocket launch from the beach, toured The Dolphin House, and prepared for the next sail. It is a cool town but really just the first taste of The Bahamas. Much more to come.

We focus on the Tiller of my Drascombe Lugger today. I waste a load of time sanding and re-polishing the aluminium stock, but then again it does look nice and shiny again! We get the wood sanded and test some Deks Olje on it. I also have a look at the Mizzen mast and bumpkin and I think i'm going to have to prepare myslef for a mega sanding session as soon as the weather permits!!! Very easy to maneuver in tight spaces, but still able to safely surf behind is a rare combination, and the Campion 650 Surf, with the Volvo Penta FWD drive system delivers on all fronts. Also, a very comfortable and comparatively quiet ride when cruising down the lake, and more efficient than a V drive while doing so! This boat has low hours (172hrs) and has just had an impeller service completed this spring, along with an extensive exterior detail so it's ready to hit with water in style and looking great! There is a factory ballasts system to go along with the FWD drive technology and add to your surf wave, as well as a Zero Off GPS cruise control system.
