After 3,5 months it is time to get out of the harbor. The winter is over and we don’t need our heater anymore. You get used to a harbor very soon. Nice long hot showers. Washing machine, dryer, shopping, neighbors. Easy to bring stuff on board. Before we leave we do the things what is just easier to do in the harbor and bring our home back into sail-mode . Also we did some caulking and tried a different kit. This didn’t work out as we expected.. Hope you enjoy! We take a cruise on Holland America and sail thru the indescribable beauty of Glacier Bay in Alaska. Breath taking views of Margerie Glacier, Lamplugh Glacier, Reid Glacier and snow covered mountain ranges.

I sanded all my spars and set to filling all the gaps and damage to them. First though I complete the gasket fitting on my battery box and TP10 holder. I am hoping it will form a water proof seal of sorts! I also decide to epoxy my tiller handle, largely because the rope repair on it is just going moudly in the wet. This should not only protect the string but make for a stronger tiller too. This week we spent a lot of time in Northern Utah. It's winter!! So it's time to have some fun in the snow😉. Matt also had to make a couple of quick trips to the marina to check on the stuff we're working on LIA. (Spoiler: Things didn't look great) It's so frustrating leaving the boat and trusting people to take care of it... we always end up disappointed. BUT I guess that comes with owning a boat 😅. Back in Hurricane, Owen got his wisdom teeth removed. After that, we made our way up north into the snow! ❄️ Zach took us skiing in Beaver Mountain. We're still learning to ski and we think it's a great place for beginners! We love our property up here in Garden City, and we did a little house tour for you to show all the things we worked on, hope you enjoy! In this video we leave Koufonisi and sail to Paros, on the way we met a Dolphin who stays with us for a while. Once a nights sleep in Paros we move onto the beautiful Sandbar Bay in Kithnos but not before we fight with the messiest sea state we have encountered to far! Join us as we make landfall in Santa Marta, Colombia. We hit up MInca with our friend Manny and make some miles during the Lost City Trek in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

These clips show my voyage from Nassau in the Bahamas to Key Biscayne, Fla., to Cape Canaveral, Fla., in December of 2024.

Did you know Puffins mate for life, forming monogamous bonds that can last up to 20 years. They have have colorful beaks that change colour with the seasons, becoming brighter during the breeding season. In addition they are skilled divers, able to reach depths of 60 meters while hunting for food. Imagine our delight when we sail to the Shaint Islands off the Outer Hebrides and observe them in massive numbers. The noise was incredible, and the birds amazing. We also saw Razorbills here which was a delight! We observed diving for food and nesting. We decide its too noisy to anchor overnight and head to some quiet remote spots to enjoy a more peaceful night. Facebook is rolling out changes to its storage policy for Facebook Live videos. As part of this transition, Facebook Live videos older than 30 days will be deleted. Lots of my Journey from New York to the Bahamas was shared by hitting that Live button and updating friends and family as promptly as I could, since video editing is so time consuming!
