The warmth, richness and symmetry of the interior woodwork give superb flow as you walk through each area, while the elongated salon windows offer a widened perspective especially upon aft entry. The most common place for dining is typically al fresco on the aft deck. This area is only one of three dining options aboard and offers plenty of space while enjoying the views at anchor. The main salon is very inviting with luxurious oversized chair, L-shaped sofa perfect for more formal cocktail seating or versatile enough to put your feet up on the chaise portion for movie time. The main dining comfortable seats 8 in elegance and provides a superb alternative to aft deck dining. Of the four staterooms below deck, the Master is most forward, VIP aft and Twin/Convertible staterooms amidship. Each stateroom features state of the art A/V and flatscreen TV’s. The Master stateroom offers plenty of natural light via 4 rectangular angled windows on each side, has a comfortable settee and ensuite Master bathroom featuring white porcelain double vessel sinks, elegantly tiled stall shower and rich marble top accents. The king size bed faces aft. The Queen VIP features a side desk or vanity area, natural light from two traditional oblong portholes on each side and ensuite bathroom with similar styling as the others, single sink and stall shower. The starboard Twin stateroom is able to convert to a King size while the portside stateroom features a Queen. Each of these are ensuite with toilet and shower. Heading up to the flybridge is where most find this yacht has some of the best layout for her size. From another dining area, which can be shaded or not with the retractable sunroof, to the more sunny Jacuzzi and three chaise lounges for relaxing, guests are sure to find ‘their spot’ on this deck for the majority of each trip. When not on this level, there is even more space to capture the on-deck views forward. Back in 2016 we stayed in this mooring field working and saving up money so we were anxious to leave and not get stuck landlubbing in Sarasota again. The ignition system on our antique 1974 Atomic-4 gets a makeover! After a motor trial in the bay and a sail-check, we're ready to head south down the ICW.

Wintertraining has come to an end and we jumped right into the regatta season. After three days of driving trough desert like landscapes in Spain and a smooth crossing we touched the shore of Palma, prepared the boat and started racing. It's been a year since the family has been together and we are having a blast celebrating the 4th of July! The giant hill in the backyard is fabulous for sledding in the winter and slip-n-slide in the summer and we took full advantage of the momentum produced by it. Wir sind zu unserem jährlichen Heimaturlaub auf dem Weg nach Deutschland. Um den absurd langen Flug etwas aufzulockern haben wir einen Stopover in Hongkong eingeplant. Die erste 10-stündige Flugetappe führt mit Fidschi-Air von Nadi International Airport im Direktflug nach Hongkong. Wir sind früh aufgestanden. Um 5:00 Uhr holt uns das Taxi direkt vom Schiff ab. Die Fidschi-Air Maschine hat 5 Stunden Verspätung, sodass wir erst nach Sonnenuntergang in Hongkong landen. Im Jahr 1997 erfolgte die Übergabe der Staatshoheit an die Volksrepublik China. Seitdem ist Hongkong eine chinesische Sonderverwaltungszone unter Beibehaltung einer freien Marktwirtschaft und zugesagter innerer Autonomie. Dieses Prinzip Ein Land, zwei Systeme wurde in der gemeinsamen Erklärung zu Hongkong vertraglich vereinbart. Noch 2013 galt Hongkong dadurch im Gegensatz zum Rest Chinas als regionaler Hort der Meinungsfreiheit. Spätestens seit 2014 allerdings bricht China seine Autonomie-Zusage zunehmend und schränkt die Freiheit der Hongkonger Bevölkerung ein. Dies führte wiederholt zu Großdemonstrationen der Bevölkerung. Im Frühjahr 2020 erhielt ich die Diagnose Morbus Parkinson. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März 2021geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich.
