This Ketchup Crisp is a fun, unexpected dessert that is absolutely delicious—you’d never know there was ketchup in there. Talk about a recipe hack! KETCHUP CRISP For the filling…. 10 cups peeled & sliced apples (about 5 lbs) 1 cup granulated sugar 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1/2 cup ketchup 1/4 cup lemon juice For the topping… 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup granulated sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup brown sugar 16 tablespoons (2 sticks) cold butter, cut into pieces 1 cup old-fashioned oats 1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F. 2. Toss the apples, sugar, flour and cinnamon in a 9x13 baking dish. In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup and lemon juice. Drizzle over the apples and toss again; set aside. 3. In a bowl, work the flour, granulated sugar, salt, brown sugar and butter between with your fingers until combined and in pieces. Add the oats and work between your fingers again to create your crumbs. 4. Sprinkle the crumbs over the apples and bake 45-60 minutes until bubbly and golden. (If your oven runs hot, like mine, and the crumbs brown too quickly…you can cover with foil about halfway through). Let cool slightly then serve with vanilla ice cream. Hi all, the the Port aft was designed to be a bunk but no way, its like a coffin. It has been used as a dumping ground and a real back breaker to access stuff in there so i took steps. Using it to conceal the Fridge!! Still in the trialing stage but want to pull off all the old sodden wood and replace with fresh/nicer looking timber. Hey guys, one of my little spin offs. I actually started this a few months ago but just got round to closing it. Nice little Stuart Sole that went diving for 2 tides in the bottom of a wooden boat. As of now 28/07/2021 the engine is still sat in my friends shed.

Downwind sailing in the Caribbean is a myth - going north you will often find yourself beating again a force 5/6 with with squalls and rain. As we got further north to the French islands - Martinique and Guadeloupe it got more squally and more then once we had to put in a second deep reef . The Caribbean is awesome cruising area and the weather is a great for competent crew training , lots of reefing , shaking reef using KMT and trying different sail plans . The tussle for 3rd & 4th place in the supermaxis was a tightly fought tacking battle down the coast between Black Jack & Hamilton Island Wild Oats which didn’t end until both boats were close to the finish line. In the end there were only 59 seconds between them. Reichel Pugh and McConaghy Boats were also the winners being the designers and builders of these supermaxis back in 2005. Still competitive beautiful boats today!

Great to be back on the water for the first racing of the 2024 season. Thanks to the Quoile Yacht Club for hosting two great races on a chilly spring afternoon.

This episode focuses on boat work. Like all new boats, we've had some warranty issues that needed to be addressed. So we get to work on some of the ones we haven't had time or resources to properly address already. Things we tackle include: - Fixing a back-filling toilet that had an obstruction in the supply valve. - Fixing an obstructed macerator pump on another toilet. - Replacing the Echopilot forward-looking sonar transmitter. - Upgrading the scuba fill whip quick-connect fitting to a more resistant stainless steel version. - Fixing the wall liner at some of the windows, where the factory glue was not sticking. - Identifying a cause of our poor solar-charging performance: a non-functional solar panel. - Replacing a fuel tank level sensor. - Locating the cause of a fuel supply issue for the generator. It was a hairline crack at a weld in the intake tube, so we had a new tube welded on. - Fixing a set screw on the salon door hardware - Paint touch-ups around the newly sealed platform lock area. But it wasn't ALL work. We had the fortunate opportunity to attend a great Christmas Eve party and spend some time at the marina pool at Christmas. Kevin also continued his commercial marine training by attending the Efficient Deck Hand course. We had a short sail to relocate to Ao Po Marina from Yacht Haven Marina. Thanks for following!
