#Madeira #SailingFridaAfWisby #FunchalMarina #Tintomara In this episode we drive around to explore Madeira together with Tintomara and we get to se Funchals famous blue jacaranda trees and the Flower festival but we start to checkout Funchal Marina. No sailing in this video but plenty of flowers and beautiful mountain views. But we do manage to put a little boatwork in because we get our gear fixed. I'm sorry I don't have time to check the subtitles ahead of publishing today so this episode will be texted with the quality of Youtube automatic text and translate generator. We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our boat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is not to go to a specific place but to reach a state of mind where we can really enjoy life. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019 and that we have sailed to Gotland and in season 1 2020 we sail in the Baltic Sea. During season 2 We sailded south to Dieppe Normandy France. After a winter in France in Season 3 we started to sail the Atlantic coast of Europe to Xufre in Spain where we lifted the boat over the summer while we where back in Gotland to work at our hostel we got there. Season 4 got a short sailing season where we only sailed to Lagos on the Algarve coast of Portugal where we hauled out once again this time to go throug a long list of boatwork and to build a solar arch to make the boat more self-suficient with electricity. After 6 months in Lagos we kicked-off season 5 with real bluewater sailing first to the northerly Atlantic island Porto Santo and Madeira and then further out to the Azores that lays in the middle of the Atlantic ocean before turning back towards the mainland and south coast of Portugal again.
