We found an epic spot to anchor on the Great Barrier Reef. We had an epic time with Salty Sings exploring the Reef and living from what we manage to catch while spearfishing. Josh had the chance to go for a swim with a Tiger shark that was lurking around the Boat, and we cooked up some delicious Crayfish chowder.

All’insegna dell’attenzione al dettaglio che caratterizza tutte le imbarcazioni del cantiere di Podenzano, saldamente in mano alla famiglia Gandini, l’M47P è caratterizzato da diversi particolari di grande raffinatezza, come il ponte in teak e l’hard top in carbonio dal design unico che richiama un’onda che nasce dalla coperta. LA CARENA CON DOPPIO STEP Perfetto come tender o fast cruiser ad altissime prestazioni, l’M47P è il risultato di un attento studio delle geometrie e insieme un concentrato di materiali e soluzione tecnologiche di ultima generazione, al fine di assicurare performance adrenaliniche e tenuta di mare in ogni condizione. Lo scafo V-shape presenta, infatti, una carena con “doppio step” che, grazie alla minor superficie bagnata esposta e alla maggiore portanza, consente un rapido distacco in planata e migliori controllo e comfort alle velocità più elevate. Le prestazioni eccezionali non interferiscono con il comfort, dato che l’M47P naviga stabile, in assenza di vibrazioni e pitching e perfettamente asciutta anche a 56 nodi, confermando la bontà di un progetto che non ha pari nel suo segmento di mercato. La scelta della motorizzazione fuoribordo permette anche di ottenere un layout razionale con ampi spazi social, sia sopra sia sottocoperta: all’esterno, gli ospiti possono scegliere se cenare nel comodo pozzetto attrezzato con tavolo in carbonio, piano cottura e frigoriferi, oppure godersi la navigazione sulle sedute appositamente progettate per le alte velocità che, una volta all’ancora, si trasformano in ampio prendisole. Sprindrift crossed the equator in 4 days and 21hours. To undertake the crewed around-the-world record is as much about the human adventure as it is a technical and sporting challenge. The men and women working alongside Dona Bertarelli and Yann Guichard at Spindrift racing have been preparing this race against the clock for almost three years. The target: to sail around the world in less than 45 days, 13 hours and 42 minutes. The tough record they will try to beat was set by Loïck Peyron and his crew in 2012 on Banque Populaire V, which was renamed Spindrift 2 a year later. The French-Swiss team decided to use the same 40 m trimaran because they believed that the boat could be further optimised, a task that sailors, engineers and technicians at the team have been working on ever since. After countless hours of work at the boatyard and 40,000 nautical miles of racing and training, the Spindrift racing-prepared trimaran is all set to go. The team will officially go on stand-by on October 19th and wait for the ideal weather window.
