Our Kiwi friends on Loafer were anchored close to us, and had this Tiger shark visit them. They were cleaning some fish when it showed up. They stuck the GoPro in for some cool footage!

A tiger shark was swimming under Loafers boat while they cleaned fish. The shark was not interested in the fish hanging there, but rather came up and bumped the platform the guy is standing on.

I was able to interact with an octopus. I was hoping she would grab my hand but she didn't. However, she did come and sit right next to me.

A compilation of several dives at Rabi, Fiji. On some dives the mantas were feeding and on others they were getting cleaned. It was a magical experience being around them. This was in October 2022

Ever wondered what an oceanic manta belly looks like? Kinda like a dog belly with big black freckles. Here one swims above me and I get a good look! Rabi Island, Fiji

Pogeyan under full sail. We have lived aboard and sailed her since 2016. We spend 6 months (June-Nov) in the south pacific islands and then retreat to New Zealand during cyclone season (Dec -May)

These two curious Humpback whales were singing to me! In this clip only 1 of them is singing. See my other clip to hear them both. It sounded like he was talking to me the entire time. At one oint they swim further away and one of them goes vertical and hangs in the water. I have no idea why but he did it. Another magical encounter.

My encounter with these two Humpback whales lasted about 20 minutes. Rich swam out and joined in the fun. He dove down near them and it is something to see how small he looks next to them.

More video swimming with the 2 chatty Humpback whales! You can hear 2 distinct whale songs in the video. One is a high pitched song and the other sounds like an alien, lower toned clicking.

I swam with these 2 whales and they were singing to me! This video is in real time. I did not slow it down. The whales were moving so slow and very aware of me and where I was. I stayed in place and they would swim past then turn around and circle back. Sometimes one would go under me which was a little scary but he never hit me.

A baby humpback is tucked up next to mom as they swim past. Unbeknownst to me, there was also an escort male. He emerged from the murk and swam between me and the mom with her baby! He actually scared the crap out of me. The water was so murky I couldn't see him coming.

I swam with 2 humpback whales and they swam really close to look me over. What an amazing day. They moved slow and gently around me. Perfect day on Pogeyan.

Several dive operators got together to buy this decommissioned cruise liner to create an artificial reef in 1994 - today it sits upright with a length of 30 meters the once Blue Lagoon cruise ship, Salamanda, lies at approximately 27 meters of depth. This wreck is covered in both soft and hard corals with a couple of anemones on the crows nest. We saw banner fish, wrasse, clown fish and other reef fish species.

We were here in September this year and only saw a couple of mantas. This is the only video I got.
