Strangford Sailing Club Regatta 2021 :- ICR1 Race Review

Strangford Sailing club kicked off the annual Narrows Series with their annual regatta. The IRC1 fleet had a strong turn out with seven boats set to contest the 3 race series. It was great to have a visiting Scottish boat over for the weekend. If Animal's ( GBR 3627L ) result in the warm up Bar Buoy Race was anything to go by they were going to be tough to beat. After a crazy start of Strangford Sailing club were GTR raced directly away from the first mark to build a big lead the fleet came back together after a 30 minute glass out. The racing was super tight with 40 seconds covering the first 3 boats, leaving all to play for over the next two days.
