This week, having just got our boat free from IMPOUNDING, we try to set sail for Turkey but find our anchor fouled under the chain of a super yacht. We share the process we use for getting free and some tips and tricks to protect yourselves from this problem.... We sail the short distance to Bodrum, Turkey to check in and compare the pros and cons of Greek Versus Turkish entry processes if you have a boat. The Portofino update this week shares the details of our skeg that protects the proip shaft and the rudder and the discussion around the benefits and risks of having the rudder help support the boat's weight when grounded. We also show the heavy duty lifting p;oing built into the boat to allow it to lifted directly and not ever having to use belts as they can scratch the paint and also damage the gear under the boat....
