In this episode, we set our course for the stunning Isles of Scilly—but not without a few surprises along the way! Mid-voyage, a curious pigeon joins us on deck, much to Lancer’s disapproval. Things take a turn when we accidentally run over our tender line, causing an unexpected (and slightly stressful) moment at sea. Once safely anchored, we explore the magical Isle of Tresco. From the mysterious Valhalla collection of shipwrecked figureheads to the breathtaking Abbey Gardens, this island delivers history, beauty, and plenty of charm. ⛵ Highlights: Sailing to the Isles of Scilly Tender line mishap A surprise visit from a feathered crew member Exploring Tresco’s Valhalla collection Strolling through the lush Abbey Gardens Subscribe for more salty adventures and behind-the-scenes sailing life!

A few fishermen return from the sea, each with a single small catch, just a couple dozen fish in total. The fish are laid out in a colorful display, each one marked in its own unique way, ready for the brief but effecient auction. Local women also gather on the dock. Before the bidding starts, they move together through Radio Taiso, Japan’s national morning exercise routine. It’s a ritual that has echoed across generations and done communities and places of work and in parks across Japan. It is involves stretching body, lifting the spirit, and .practicing the Art of Community, Japan style Taiso ends and within seconds, the auction begins and ends — slates raised, smiles shared, and another day’s rhythm established. This isn’t a retirement village; it’s a working community where every generation has a place, and where work and play naturally blend. Even a turtle makes makes a regular appearance to witness local vitality gently expressed. Here, longevity isn’t a theory. It’s lived out in movement, purpose, and connection, This is the Art of Community on full display in a small coastal town in Japan. After finding great crew, finally, Rebecca Childress nearly finishes her 14 year circumnavigation aboard SV Brick House, but stops 100 miles short in Great Inagua. 100 more miles to go! Josh finds our anchor chain has twisted in to a giant knot and has to unravel it. He shows how he does this, and explains the two models of the Mantus Anchor Chain hooks / snubbers that we have on this sailboat. She sets up the Iridium GO to take over the datahub and they put up the running pole and depart offshore for the Bahamas! At least now Rebecca has found very good crew, who carry on with her for the rest of her circumnavigation, making the rest of the ocean passage very pleasant. Rebecca has felt the great burden, responsibility and risk of making sure her boat is seaworthy and safe! For better or worse, it is paying off... she is almost there now...has almost finished her 14 year circumnavigation . What will come next for Rebecca Childress and her sailing life? Honestly..until she finishes the circumnavigation, she is just for once, trying to not think too far head and just enjoy the last few ocean miles she will sail...this year... ▬ FOLLOW ALONG! ▬▬ ✩Instagram: http://www.Instagram.com/svBrickHouse ✩ Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/SYBrickhouse ✩ Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/SVBrickhouse ✩Our blog: :http://www.WhereIsBrickHouse.com ✩Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/PatrickChildress ✩Tshirts and other: https://www.WhereIsBrickHouse.com/store Support us to keep the videos coming: 🍯(Tip Jar) http://whereisbrickhouse.com/tip-jar/ ⏩ PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/SVBrickHouse ⏩ Sign up for a FREE membership here: https://www.predictwind.com/?ref=rebeccachildress ⛵️ TWO FREE SAILING COURSES: http://whereisbrickhouse.com/sailing-school ⏩Start your Amazon shopping here: https://amzn.to/2K9MmuA ⏩Tshirts and other: https://www.WhereIsBrickHouse.com/store #sailingAfrica #PatrickChildressSailing #TravelsAnimals #sailing #sailboats Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC7DRvfDAoFn5eMyfTnaA8w/join Music Credits Islandesque by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100315 Artist: http://incompetech.com/ Santo Rico by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Artist: http://www.twinmusicom.org/ Endemic Sounds provides much of the music in this sailing video as well.
