During this week we did not sail at all, but we explored the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau. The city is not super big but there are many things to see and discover. In Nassau we met our friends who stopped by just for few day on catamaran. Also we visited gorgeous Fort Charlotte, the 18th century fort built by Lord Dunmore to protect northern part of the island from enemies. And.....my dream came true - a ZOO! I wanted to see flamingos since a very long time and I knew there are flamingos in Nassau's Zoo. We also saw talking parrots and amazing peacocks. Young tandem Quentin Delapierre and Matthieu Salomon were eager to confirm their leadership, and they did it again, with an amazing victory on the 40 mile raid along the coastline of Roussillon. « The course was set in a way to avoid going offshore because of strong wind conditions », explains Lorina Limonade-Golfe du Morbihan co-skipper Quentin Delapierre. « So in that case, it is an upwind downwind turn and you have to take the lead quite quickly to have the fresh air. That’s what we did, leading the fleet at the first mark.
