This week we said "See you somewhere soon" to our friends Alex & Melissa, but met Jack's old friend Patrick with his wonderful wife Rosen. We had only 1 day to spend together, but we did impressible few-hour sailing around Saint Martin and shared main life stories. We also having a special dinner for a New Year's eve on a boat - just two of us. We are an international couple - Jack (from France), Kateryna (from Ukraine). We have been crossing this wonderful life together since 10 years. Finally (after many years of dreaming) we are living a "true" life. The race is so much more than the ‘rock stars’…. It is about ordinary men and women competing in a race and their families making sacrifices around Xmas so that their loved ones can compete. Sean Langman's Maluka of Kermandie is the oldest and smallest yacht in the fleet. We caught up with Sean on his arrival in Hobart and heard about his race. Maluka may be the smallest boat but it wasn't the last to arrive and it also accomplished its fastest race to Hobart so far.

So we started out in Remington, Indiana this morning. Where ii was very cold. We parked next to McDonald's in a little parking lot, and I had to walk to go to the bathroom across the street with a "feels like" temperature of 24° Jake picked up our load and once again it was overweight, so we had to wait for all the customers to figure things out and now we're on our way to Kansas City . While we were on the side of the road waiting for them to figure it all out we ordered Pizza Hut right to our truck on the shoulder of the road.
