Untie The Lines is BACK! We are starting Season 3 with the preparations for crossing the Panama Canal into the Pacific! I hope to see you all on board again for all the exciting adventures coming up in this season. This was more than due: new solar panels for Karl. I had already purrchased them in Mexico but now it was finally time to install them. What a treat to have a floating work shop anchored right next to me with a skilled friend that knows how to weld upside down. But see yourself! "Arriving in Bali was amazing! We moved to Indonesia and started exploring Bali after 10 years! We were anxious to see this country again, to see their culture, smell their offerings, drink some balinese kope, go to kitesurf in Sanur, surf in Canggu... We found a place to stay in Canggu, create a routine and started our vlog." "After I finished my civil engineering degree in Brazil in the end of 2015 I decided that I wanted to take an extra step. So with the full support of my long time adventure partner I started a Master Degree at Sydney University and that’s how we sold most of our belongings and moved from Brazil to Australia. But 6 months later we realized that actually that was not what we were looking for. So instead of flying back straight to our country, we decided to take a few sabbatical months and travel until the end of 2016. The plan was simple, we wanted to travel to places where it is cheap and/or comfortable, and take the time to think about our own lives so we could decide what we wanted to do from 2017 and on. That’s the story we tell in this first season of Odd Life Crafting” Duca WEEKLY EPISODES EVERY FRIDAY!! We hope to inspire other people to go out and live their dreams. HI EVERYONE: We are a catamaran sailing around the world. PART 1. LITHIUM BATTERY INSTALLATION FOR IMPI In this series we are doing something different, and mostly because our followers on You Tube have requested us to do so on a number of occasions, so - we are going to look at the technical side of Impi, and in our first instance our recent installation of Lithium batteries, some options other than lithium batteries and more. Now folks, please know first and foremost that I am not an electrician - I have merely had to help myself along the way due to the remote destinations we sail in. Well here in Australia we discovered the talent to assist us to switch from AGM to Lithium. I have to ask you to watch the video as one ordinary sailor to the next and to be tolerant of my electrical terminology, or lack thereof. We hope this series will be basic enough to share what we have done on Impi, the considerations that went into our system and also our various charging systems and how they feature within the system. To all our Facebook followers who asked for this - well - we hope not to disappoint and you are free and welcome to ask the questions ... well ... perhaps you would get great answers here, on Facebook or I would do the research for you. Cheers everybody and hope you have an awesome weekend. DRONE FUNDING LINK: http://www.shareagift.com/Pages/17427 Folks, we are not trying to fund the drone for ourselves. We have followers here who took on the initiative because they would like to see footage of the beautiful islands Impi visits - well - it's extra work for us but ultimately we do want to bring you the maximum and most honest experience we can. Ana and I will probably fund the short fall for the drone anyhow since we can see the effort our followers are going to, but it would be nice to have those funds available for other projects such as 'Help us to help others' and so forth. All it takes is a 'SMALL' contribution from many people - like $1 or $2 is terrific if we have the numbers of people contributing. Also, the funding does not come to an account in our name - it goes to the specific fund set up by Cyrille. If there is any surplus in the fund, we will ask Cyrille to place that with gear to bring better footage for your viewing pleasure. Come with us to the Rocky Mountain Region Porsche Club of America New Member Social hosted by 3ZERO3 Motorsports! The RMR PCA has a “Social” once a month throughout the year and this one in the Spring is to welcome all our new members. There were tables set up by the various chair people of the club where folks could get more information on their favorite activities. There was, of course, an amazing raffle as at all the monthly Socials with prizes from Adam’s Polishes and ManCave Detail. Thanks so much to 3ZERO3 Motorsports for their gracious hosting complete with food and drinks! Scott always throws a great event and the shop is always great fun to wonder around and see all the cars and equipment. Unfortunately, the weather was a little sub-par so we weren’t able to bring our 1958 356A so we brought the 2004 Porsche Turbo instead. It did stop raining so I was able to fly the Mavic Pro a little bit for some fun aerial shots! We hope you enjoyed the video. If you did, please give it a “Thumbs up” and Subscribe to Heidi and Franny’s Garage for more videos to come. Also, click the little “Bell” by the Subscribe button to get notified when we release new videos – usually Saturday mornings. Full article is available in Multihulls World #153: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/catamaran/eos-54-radiant-dawn-in-greek-mythology-eos-is-the-goddess-of-the-dawn Preview of our test onboard the EOS 54 catamaran Christophe Barreau's mark is clearly evident on the Eos 54. This catamaran demonstrates the fundamentals dear to the Parisian architect and sailor: simplicity, taut lines, reduced nacelle size and superlative performance... The Eos is aimed at an informed audience of sailors - those who love lively wakes. But this model also knows how to be welcoming with a simple and neat interior. A multi-faceted cruising catamaran, yet one which is capable of surprising top speeds under gennaker or spinnaker in upper medium conditions. The standard model is now called the EOS 54 C, while the builder is now offering a very lightweight version, the EOS 54 R. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: EOS Catamaran Length: 54’ (16.45 m) Beam: 27’10” (8.48 m) Light displacement: 30,425 lbs / 19,180 lbs (13,800 kg/8,700 kg) Draft: 4’3” / 10’ (1.30 / 3.05 m) Mainsail area: 1,087 sq ft (101 m²) Genoa: 690 sq ft (64 m²) Engines: 2 x 55 HP Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests!
