Here is our # ROOFTOPTENT from #XTREK REVIEW after using it for about 3 months. It cost us quite a lot of money and there are PROS and CONS - Watch this video before your decide to get one. WHO WE ARE - Rene is a Musician from Singapore and Sam is a Photographer from Malaysia. In April 2017, we decided to minimise and simplify life. Time had passed us by and we now knew we needed a change. We began selling our possessions (still in the middle of selling) bought a Toyota Liteace Premio 1.8 1995 and self converted a into a tiny campervan in order to travel with our dogs Roxy and Bo. To get used to this new change, we decided to start our travels within Malaysia with an end goal of one day driving overland from Malaysia to the UK. We share our experiences with Campervan Builds, Travel Adventures and Interviews of People who inspire us - we provide access to information for those who may want to do the same one day. HOW DO WE SUPPORT OUR NEW JOURNEY? This doesn't have one simple answer. For the transition period we purely operate on savings as we build our means to earn money on the road. We need stacking income - in Bahasa Malaysia there is saying, "Sikit Sikit Jadi Bukit" and that's what we are trying to develop. DROP US A MESSAGE, LIKE COMMENT SHARE AND SUBSCRIBE maybe we can meet up someday? ** NOW SOLD ** Sapphire dancer is a 30 ft half tonner class yacht built in 1986 by the legendary Yacht builder, Kanga Birtels, of Jarkan Yachts. http://www.yoti.com.au/listing/jarkan-925-sapphire-dancer She was originally built and spec’d for a fastidious pilot and has now come full circle and is owned by Kanga himself and is moored in Middle Harbour. Sapphire Dancer has been set up for single handed sailing and incorporates a Raymarine ST4000 Autohelm on the tiller steering system. Kanga himself has sailed her single handed to Harvey bay return and also single handed to Hobart return. For a 30 ft yacht, she boasts a considerable amount of room down below, is clean and tidy and presents very well. Sapphire dancer has been raced against other half tonners of her era and proved herself to be a very competitive and easy to sail yacht. She is a fun, safe, family cruiser and is ready to move on to an enthusiastic new owner for the upcoming summer sailing season. Please call YOTI Sydney Harbour for an inspection on Middle Harbour today. info@yoti.com.au (02) 9960 6222
We start where we left off in Episode 34 and sail through shallow Sherman Lake. A lake in the Sacramento Delta just north of Antioch that is known for its numerous hazards. After that, we go tie up against a bush for the night (yes, a bush) and make omelettes. The omelettes might not sound like much to you, but it's been so long since we've had one that we can't remember the last time. We explore an island within an island and get up close and personal with donkeys and monasteries in Mljet. St Mary’s Island is located inside Mljet National Park, and is well known for being the 'island within an island'. Sitting in the middle of the island is a 19th Century Benedictine Monastery, that is still accessible today! This popular island and attraction feature beautiful grounds, historic ruins, donkeys, a small local restaurant, and an abundance of myths, legends and history! To get to the island, you must flag down one of the small boats and enjoy a short boat ride to the island. The transport cost is included in the price of your National Park ticket, so you won't need to pay for this again! From the island, you are also able to snorkel, swim, and relax. Local Stories is a series dedicated to providing an insight into the quirky aspects of Croatian people, culture, and traditions!

One of the reasons sailors come to the Caribbean is to enjoy its beautiful white sandy beaches and Chrystal clear waters. The Grenadines, is the perfect example of this "sailor's paradise". In this episode, we explore the breath taking islands of SVG, get a little souvenir capsule for you and of course adding a few Uma DIY projects here and there: We build our rain water catchment system and our cockpit shower. Music by Keith Beard Really appreciate the support, check out the Patreon for more access and perks: https://www.patreon.com/FindingSimon If Patreon isn't your thing, I also have a Paypal.me link: paypal.me/ShelbyandSimon I'm a Canadian photographer from Ottawa who got rid of everything to travel to world. I make travel vlogs sharing my ups and downs, adventures on motorbikes, sailboats, and vans. Instagram: @Finding_Simon Snapchat: Finding_Simon Twitter: @FindingSimon Donations: paypal.me/ShelbyandSimon Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/FindingSimon Merchandise: http://simonstiles.com/finding-simon/ :::::::FAQ::::::: - How do you afford to travel constantly? A: I travel really cheap, free camping, cooking my own meals, being as efficient as possible. I make my income almost entirely on YouTube but it's really tight. Ad revenue, patreon, paypal donations, merchandise sales and affiliate links bring in about as much as a part time minimum wage job, and I'm able to make that work. When it isn't enough I go back to work, doing photography mostly, sometimes commercial video projects, but it takes me away from my travels and videos. - How much does it cost? I spend on average $2000 travelling, most of which is gas, some repairs, food, and on average less than $200 on any eating out, shopping or extra curricular expenditures. I make $200 a month from YouTube and $400 from Patreon. The rest I make from my work. - What camera do you use? Sony A7ii, DJI Mavic Pro, Rode Videomic with Deadcat, Zihyun Crane 3 Axis Gimbal, DIY tripods and lights. - What is your bike? 1999 Yamaha Vstar XVS1100 with a Champion Escort sidecar. - What kind of boat is that? It's a 1979 Wharram Oro 47 - What're your plans? Fix it up, run nothing but green power, sail off into the sunset. - How do you find all these cool places? To gain access to my complete research you need to hit me up on Patreon, but here's a few sites I frequent: https://freecampsites.net/ https://www.campendium.com/ http://www.atlasobscura.com/ https://www.couchsurfing.com/ - What do you do for Internet? I use coffeeshops and libraries to upload episodes a few at a time, I also use my wifi antenna (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5T9lNM8Mukk&t=2s) and a data package on my phone (10GB) - How do you live on the road with a dog? It's really not as difficult as people seem to think. I spend most of the day with my dog anyways, especially if it's warm out in the middle of the day. I let the constraint of bringing my dog with me help me make some decisions, avoiding places that ban dogs, and spending more time out in nature instead of in the cities. - What happened to the girl? We decided to go separate ways (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPgxDIXxCjY&t=4s) - Are you rich or something? definitely not. I've spent some quality time homeless, I've struggled financially most of my life, and although I'm blessed with great friends and family as well as being able bodied white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to travel the world. You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharing my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time. - Where are you now? The top perk on my Patreon page is a live link of my location on google maps so you can get an active idea of where I am currently. If that's not an option for you there's also Instagram and Instagram stories that give you a much better idea of what I'm up to today.

Filmed and edited by https://justinrichardphoto.com https://sdyc.org/calendar/event/moth-north-american-championship MATT STRUBLE SWEEPS MOTH NORTH AMERICANS - LOOKS FORWARD TO SAILING A CAT'S NEXT WEEKEND Competitors, spectators, coaches, and Race Committee breathed a sigh of relief today as it was finally breeze ON for the final day of the 2017 Moth North American Championship. When Race Committee first arrived at the race venue at 10am, winds were at 10 knots. When racing got underway shortly after 11am, the wind was at 12 knots which continued to build throughout the race. For the next 3 races, the wind was between 12 and 15 knots, allowing competitors to fly through the air on their foiling boats. The day started with a shorter race course distance (.6nm) for the first race only. After that, Race Committee extended the race course by .2nm for the following 3 races. Since the day was finally windy, racing went fast and concluded by 1:15pm. Race Committee knew that only running two races on Saturday put them behind schedule and since the wind was up, they made the decision to run 4 races instead of the 3 that were scheduled. They could have gone for 5, but competitors expressed that they were a bit tired after two days of high performance sailing behind them. Therefore, competitors completed 11 races total over 3 days with 2 throw out scores. Matt Struble (MBYC) was the Moth on fire the entire weekend, winning every single race. Not resting for long, Struble will compete at the same venue next weekend for the 2017 A-Cat North American Championship from October 5-8. Ryan Lorence (MBYC) maintained his second place position over the entire weekend and Brooks Reed (TISC) closed up the gap between him and Lorence on day 3 and ultimately finished in 3rd.

Hey everyone - thought to share this quick clip of our first day back on Impi after sorting out some business in South Africa, visiting the Cannes Boat how in France and finally arriving back here in New Caledonia to untie the lines on Impi and be set free. Here on our first day anchoring off the islands in New Caledonia (yesterday)Guy Kane the flying vet drops in to see us on his Kite board. I took the footage with my iPhone so not the greatest but it is my way of easing back into sharing videos with you all now that we are more into 'relax mode' I am finding it difficult to adjust to regular land life so cannot be sharing great vibe videos when my heart is not in it - land life for me seems to be holding far too much bureaucracy - too many rules and regulations but perhaps this is just me getting old :D Here we go - a fascinating sport - FOIL SAILING !
Hi everyone. As you saw yesterday we had a visit from Guy Kane on his kite foil. Today he came by again and I thought to try capture it with another camera instead of the iPhone. I realise this is not part of our sailing videos, but it is relevant to our current 'hot off the press experiences' and here in New Caledonia sitting at anchor in a windy zone, I think one of these toys would be awesome to have on any causing boat - don't you?
