A Timbuctù ci sono andata anni fa, espressamente per visitare questa Biblioteca piena di manoscritti e libri antichissimi, arrivati qui attraversando il deserto, portati dai cammellieri assieme al sale delle carovane. Dei libri preziosi in sé per sé, ma ancora di più perché, incendio dopo incendio, già erano sopravvissuti a vari avvenimenti intercorsi nei secoli e discendevano dai libri salvati dalla mitica Biblioteca di Alessandria d'Egitto. La conoscenza antica sopravvive solo se noi vogliamo farla sopravvivere! Applicandoci nella ricerca della verità, che è sempre stata minacciata, perché nemica dell'ignoranza." Abbiamo recuperato un pezzetto di "Turisti per Caso - La nostra Africa" in Mali, Syusy è a Timbuctù a cercare il libro di Ermete Trismegisto e visita proprio di questa mitica Biblioteca.
