Da Alter Do Chao tranquillo paese nel mezzo del Amazzonia con le sue spiagge bianchissime sul lago sono partito con una piccola imbarcazione insieme a un gruppo di amici incontrati la, dopo aver navigato quasi un intera giornata sul Rio Tapajos abbiamo raggiunto nella notte un piccolo villaggio sperduto nel mezzo della foresta. Qua abbiamo trascorso una settimana di escurrsioni nella foresta vergine. Ritornato a Alter Do Chao con un autobus di linea ho raggiunto la città Saltaren; da qua con un altra barca ho navigato quasi tre giorni sul Rio delle Amazzoni per arrivare alla citta Belen: la porta dell'Amazzonia.
