I meet a rude man, have problems finding buses, trains and taxies then walk 15 kilometres in the hot sun with a heavy backpack. The Yandoo crew of John Winning, Jim Beck and Cameron McDonald won a dramatic Race 4 of the NSW 18ft Skiff Championship on Sydney Harbour today.

After a delayed start, caused by a strong southerly hitting Sydney right on the scheduled Friday evening start time, the fleet left Sydney Harbour on Saturday morning under grey skies in a building SSE breeze. Ichi Ban led the fleet past North head as patches of sunshine lent some colour to the action. The upside of the delayed start was the opportunity to film the entire fleet in daylight.

In einem einwöchigen Törn auf einer Jeanneau 53 konnten wir uns selbst davon überzeugen. Die Reise begann in Split, führte über Zirje, Dugi Otok, Kornat, Smokvica und Rogoznica wieder zurück nach Split. Die vielen Eindrücke auf dieser Reise haben Niko Mylonas und ich mit der Kamera eingefangen.
