Understanding what your triggers are, is deeply important for emotional wellness. Here is a closer examination of the five most common triggers that impact us daily: 1. đąSound: Many sounds, such as screams or specific music, can have a very emotional impact or bring back memories, bringing the past in through the body's consciousness. 2. đSmell : Smell is strongly associated with memory. A familiar smell from a perfume or food can bring back an important memory, good or bad. 3. đPlace: Sometimes places can have psychological effects. Returning to the spot of a tragic event may bring back those feelings of fear or anxiety. 4. đ„People: This sometimes leaves one with fear or anxiety, especially when related to previous adverse experiences. 5. đ€Touch: It also evokes extremely strong reactions. Something that is safe to feel when embraced warmly may be painful if not invited. Knowing these triggers will help you overcome them much better. You can be empowered by knowing what makes you tick to heal more effectively.
The Agincourt ribbon Reefs had a second coral spawning and it was magical. At the Quicksilver platform at Agincourt 3, our Marine Biologist, Russell Hore predicted the December coral spawn would be more spectacular, as the waters had been cooler in the lead up to the November spawn. Russell Hore, Quicksilver Reef Biosearch Manager said âWhile the Agincourt Reefs experienced a coral spawning in November, we always believed that the main coral spawn would happen after the full moon in December.â Two of Quicksilver Reef Biosearch marine biologists, Dr Glen Burns and Graham Carroll, spent the night on Agincourt 3 last night (16 Dec), hopeful that the corals would spawn. âThe current water temperature on the edge of the outer reefs was perfect for coral spawning, so we were pretty confident.â And better they were, with one of the better coral spawning events witnessed in the last decade. âWe witnessed the branching staghorn coral, shrubby corals and a magnificent plate coral spawning. We were privileged to record this once yearly event at Agincourt Reef.â said Dr Burns The spawning is likely to continue for the next two nights.
And it was another one of those bad news days. After pulling up the deck on the outside we realised that the wood rot got into the samson post right on deck level. After poking a knife into the samson post to determine how far along the wood rot has gone (hoping we could safe the samson post) we quickly realised that it's rotten almost halfway through and it was a hard decision, I do have to admit it took a bit of convincing, I really wanted to save the old post, I really didn't want another project, it's all getting a bit overwhelming lately, like what the hell was I thinking, buying a timber boat... But yeah the boat builder and a few other friends did talk some sense into me, it is probably not the safest idea to moor your boat on a half rotten post. So here we go, winching the old post out to use it as a template to make a new one :) IG: @ yvonnemarianna.travels Patreon: SailingStormy
