I'm helping a wonderful couple sail their boat from Baltimore to Ft Lauderdale. We've had a few issues, but thankfully, we've been able to remedy them quickly. We lost the prop upon docking in Charleston, and the main sail ripped while underway. Unfortunately, the main cannot be repaired, so it will reduce our stability, but since we'll be sailing downwind, it's not a dealbreaker. Use three points touching something at all times. Two hands and a foot or 2 feet and a hand or a butt cheek, a hand and a foot. Whatever make sure three things are touching - note that two butt cheeks only count as one butt cheek. These guys did pretty well, but there still could be some improvement. Still it was fun.
