I'm helping a wonderful couple sail their boat from Baltimore to Ft Lauderdale. We've had a few issues, but thankfully, we've been able to remedy them quickly. We lost the prop upon docking in Charleston, and the main sail ripped while underway. Unfortunately, the main cannot be repaired, so it will reduce our stability, but since we'll be sailing downwind, it's not a dealbreaker. One of the most time consuming tasks as a sailing cruiser is grocery shopping. First we have to get to a store (walk or take a bus) and then we have to get all the food, beverages, supplies on to the dinghy, then on to the boat, and then put away. It’s an all day event!
