I'm helping a wonderful couple sail their boat from Baltimore to Ft Lauderdale. We've had a few issues, but thankfully, we've been able to remedy them quickly. We lost the prop upon docking in Charleston, and the main sail ripped while underway. Unfortunately, the main cannot be repaired, so it will reduce our stability, but since we'll be sailing downwind, it's not a dealbreaker. Un catamaran peut-il vraiment chavirer ? On entend souvent que c’est impossible. Un catamaran est très stable, c’est vrai. Mais stable ne veut pas dire invincible. Vent trop fort. Voile mal adaptée. Décision prise trop tard. Le chavirage reste rare… mais il n’est jamais impossible Comprendre le risque, c’est mieux naviguer.
