I'm helping a wonderful couple sail their boat from Baltimore to Ft Lauderdale. We've had a few issues, but thankfully, we've been able to remedy them quickly. We lost the prop upon docking in Charleston, and the main sail ripped while underway. Unfortunately, the main cannot be repaired, so it will reduce our stability, but since we'll be sailing downwind, it's not a dealbreaker. The insurance we went through probably 15 different insurance agencies looking for someone who would insure the crossing for the Atlantic, insure the boat while it was in Croatia. And being a U.S citizen with a U.S flag boat in a foreign country not a lot of people were interested. The tip that we actually got that worked out was from Nick for UNIQUA Insurance and they were super helpful. Easy, it just fell right into place.
