I'm helping a wonderful couple sail their boat from Baltimore to Ft Lauderdale. We've had a few issues, but thankfully, we've been able to remedy them quickly. We lost the prop upon docking in Charleston, and the main sail ripped while underway. Unfortunately, the main cannot be repaired, so it will reduce our stability, but since we'll be sailing downwind, it's not a dealbreaker. Bit of a follow-up to my previous post, this is what it looks like when the tide changes... We spent a week in this spot and each day we'd twice go through this cycle of the boat first being up high and dry and then a few hours after floating again. Just having the opportunity to look at all the life sprawling in this intertidal zone up close each day really makes you appreciate the tide cycles on a whole new level.
