Was Changing Our Boat from 220V to 120V a Huge Mistake?

Today we install a Victron MultiPlus Inverter as part of our big switch from 220V to 120V… and what should’ve been a simple swap turned into a full electrical overhaul. Out came the old Winston BMS wiring, new bus bars went in, a heat-damaged terminal was discovered (yikes), and we held our breath reconnecting the first battery. No sparks. Good start. Shore power test? Charging at 120 amps and humming hard. By sunset, we had 120V running onboard. But are we going to regret giving up 220V?
