After a wonderful birthday week and some unforgettable diving, we sailed into the Marina at Tioman a small, charming island off the coast of Malaysia. Tioman is one of Malaysia’s best-kept secrets — a duty-free island known for incredible snorkeling, diving, and jungle trekking. Bad weather was predicted for the next few days, so we decided to seek shelter at the marina. Soon we realized the island’s cargo ferry — the lifeline for groceries and provisions would not be coming for the next week due the the storm predictions ! What followed was heavy rain, strong gusts, and one wild squall that even blew away our slippers! Once the weather cleared, we headed out to Renggis Island for a snorkeling adventure where we swam with blacktip sharks and a turtle. It was an unforgettable experience!
