Woke up feeling a bit… neutral. Not sad, not excited. Just flat. Then I got a message: “Make this the best day ever.” At first I almost rolled my eyes. The boat was moving, wind was up, waves were messy. It had all the potential to be one of those long days. But instead of overthinking it, I put music on. Went outside. And just started singing. Loud. It was absolutely not good. But it was fun. And something shifted. The wind was still strong. The waves were still there. The boat was still throwing me around a bit. None of that changed. What changed was my attitude. I decided to enjoy it instead of endure it. To laugh instead of complain. To move with it instead of fight it. And somehow, a day that could have been heavy turned into the best one of the trip so far.
