MyHeritage is currently running a special promotion right now for our viewers. To get your DNA kit for just $29 use coupon code “Project” and go to https://bit.ly/ProjectAtticusDNA This week, I set out to tackle one of the most frustrating projects on our property — trying to seed and protect a steep hillside that is at risk of washing out. What I thought would take a day turned into a brutal, multi-day battle against gravity, exhaustion, and my own patience. And just when I thought things couldn’t get worse… we were robbed. After losing our generator — the one tool that keeps our entire off-grid build running — it felt like the world was kicking us while we were down. But we’re doing what we can: tightening security, putting up a gate, and pushing forward. New to the channel?

#boatfoolssailing #williamtripp #sailing #sailboatforsale #barnfind Only 15 Made — We Found One for $39K | LeComte Northeast 38 MKII TOUR Ahoy BoatFools Nation! Every once in a while, a boat shows up that stops us in our tracks. This is one of those boats. Canadian Ken and I were tipped off to what can only be described as a true barn find — a 1966 LeComte Northeast 38 MKII, owned by the same family for more than 20 years and now quietly coming to market. And here’s the kicker… Only 15 of these Mark II models were ever built. Designed by legendary naval architect William H. Tripp Jr. and built in Holland by LeComte Yachts, the Northeast 38 represents a golden era of yacht design — where performance, craftsmanship, and beauty were expected to coexist. The perfect boat for the nostalgic mariner... CHAPTERS: 00:00 Opener 00:23 Intro to this STUNNER! 02:12 Keel, Rudder & Topsides 06:17 HUGE Cockpit 09:47 Up to the Bow 14:00 Below Deck 16:11 Galley & Nav Station 18:25 The Head 19:10 V-Berth 21:11 The Diesel! 24:03 Final Thoughts And this one? She absolutely delivers. What Makes This Boat Special: Timeless lines that turn heads in any harbor Solid fiberglass hull + Airex-cored decks (no soft, wet wood-cored decks!) Sea-kindly motion and proven offshore pedigree Classic teak interior with that unmistakable warmth With an LOA of 38’3” and a narrow, elegant beam, this is a boat that feels every bit like a proper offshore thoroughbred. The Market Reality: Comparable Northeast 38s have recently listed between $42K–$49K. This one? $39,000. And when you factor in condition, pedigree, and sheer rarity… it starts to feel like something more than just a listing. TO CONTACT THE SELLER FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE EMAIL: joel.rackliffe@gmail.com ⚠️ The Pattern We Keep Seeing After touring more than 100 sailboats, we’ve noticed something: Some boats don’t sit. They get chosen. And boats like this — honest, well-kept, and quietly exceptional — tend to disappear fast. So the question is: Is this one of those boats? If you’re into classic sailboats, bluewater designs, or just appreciate a boat that was built when things were done right… this is one you don’t want to miss. ⚓ Let us know in the comments: Would you take this over a modern production boat? ⚓ Seguimi su Instagram: @inbarcacondario ⚓ Seguimi su Facebook: IN BARCA CON DARIO 📩 Collaborazioni: inbarcacondario@gmail.com #barcaavela #varo #varobarca #cantierenautico #refitting #manutenzionebarca #navigazioneavela #velaitalia #nautica #barcheavela #ritornoalmare #diporto #vitainbarca #OutInNano ___________________________________________________________ The boat leaves the shipyard and is finally ready to go back in the water. In this video I take you with me through the launch and the navigation back home, after maintenance and refit work. Without Copyright #vela #adventure #sail #sailing #avventura #barca #barcaavela #sailboat #sailinglife #esplora #explore #mare #sea #progetto #new #travel #viaggio #italy #esplorazione #vlog #diary #diariodibordo #restauro #restoration #mediterranean #mediterráneo

On Saturday 10th May, Les Sables d'Olonne lit up to celebrate the heroes of the Vendée Globe 2024-2025. An exceptional evening brought together tens of thousands of people, despite the driving rain. From 6.30pm, the legendary channel was alive with the sounds of a huge nautical parade, followed by an awards ceremony, then, just before 11pm, a monumental firework display by Jacques Couturier set the world's most beautiful bay ablaze.

🌴 In this episode, we sail to the remote island of Motorina, where we’re welcomed by one of the most musical and generous communities we've encountered on our journey so far. 🌺 ✨ From hand-carved ukuleles to sharing whole-cooked chickens and fresh produce, this village experience is a glimpse into a way of life that has been largely lost in the modern world. 🚣🏽‍♂️ We trade with locals arriving by canoe, witness the incredible craftsmanship of their traditional sailing canoes, and learn about "bagi" – the island’s ancient form of traditional money, once made from banana seeds, now beautifully recreated using black coral. 🎣 I also head out into the open sea with our friend Jimmy in his dugout canoe, where he teaches me the art of traditional fishing using feathers, hooks, and a rock wrapped in a leaf — a technique passed down for generations. This is real village life, raw and unfiltered. It’s about connection, tradition, and a sustainable way of living that’s increasingly rare in the Western world. If you love off-grid adventures, remote cultures, and traditional skills, this one’s for you. 👇 Watch now and don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more adventures from the sea! 📍 Episode 19 – Sailing Louisiades, Papua New Guinea 🛶 Location: Motorina Island, Louisiade Archipelago 📽️ Highlights: Traditional Village life, Local Music, Trading, Boat Building & Making Bagi ⏱️ Timestamps: 00:00 – 🚤 Sailing from Panasia Island to Motorina Island 01:09 – 👋 Channel Intro – Meet the Crew! 01:38 – 🏝️ A Warm Welcome into the Village 03:06 – 🌿 Life in a Traditional Village 04:12 – 🥁 Local Kids Playing Traditional Music 06:10 – 🍉 Fruits & Veggies We Received from Trading 07:19 – 🤝 What Trading for Our Food Looks Like 08:56 – 🛠️ Boat Building & More Local Trade 12:47 – 📿 How Locals Make Traditional Bagi Necklaces 16:19 – 🎣 Fishing the Traditional Way 18:12 – 💭 Final Thoughts on Motorina Village 🫶 Support Our Journey: 💡 PATREON ☞ https://www.patreon.com/c/onceuponareef ☕ Buy us a coffee ☞ https://buymeacoffee.com/onceuponareef 🎁 Send us a gift ☞ https://throne.com/onceuponareef 🌍 Follow Our Adventures: 📸 INSTAGRAM: @onceuponareef & @wheres.poppy 🎥 Poppy's YouTube Channel ☞ https://www.youtube.com/wherespoppy 📧 BUSINESS INQUIRIES - onceuponareef@protonmail.com Hey there, we’re Ryan and Poppy, a couple of adventure junkie sailors out to explore the most amazing reefs and islands in the world. In this episode, our family splits up for two very different adventures in Panama. Shane and our oldest son, Cole, join a friend’s sailboat to help with a full Panama Canal transit, while I stay back in Linton Bay with Hudson and Addison. Their journey takes them through the first three locks and into Gatun Lake for the night, but the real challenge comes the next day when the line-toss crew doesn’t show up as they approach one of the Pacific locks. A missed throw nearly turns into a big problem. Meanwhile, the kids and I set out on our own whimsical adventure. Spotting monkeys on a morning walk, swimming in a mangrove where crocodiles might be lurking, hopping buses into Panama City, wandering the colourful streets of Casco Viejo, and eating our way through the day. After their long canal crossing and our playful dash through the city, we finally reunite at the anchorage outside Panama City. Two different paths, one unforgettable adventure.
