⛵️ On devait démonter l’alternateur. Voilà. C’était le plan. Mais vous avez su remarqué que c’est rare qu’on suive le plan ! Finalement j’ai attaqué l’isolation du compartiment moteur. A son arrivée, Lolo, tel un super-héros a résolu ma fameuse fuite de passe coque ! 🍽️ Ensuite, pause gourmande grâce à Sandrine qui est arrivée avec le déjeuner et hop, petit repas à bord au soleil – royal. ☀️ Et comme il faisait beau, Lolo a dit : « Et si on allait en mer ? » Ben allons-y ! Direction la côte Saint Cyprianaise à bord de son voilier. Petite sortie tranquille, un peu de houle pour bercer les âmes sensibles (moi), pas beaucoup de vent mais une grande émotion : ça faisait peut-être 40 ans que je n’avais pas naviguer sur un voilier… et maintenant, le mien est presque prêt à prendre la mer. Late afternoon, British time, Bryon Ehrhart’s Reichel/Pugh 63 designed Lucky was the first boat in the Transatlantic Race 2015 to cross the finish line at The Lizard, ending a brutal 8 days 22 hours 5 minutes and 3 seconds at sea on a 2,800-mile eastbound crossing of the North Atlantic, sailed mostly in strong winds. At present Lucky holds the lead in the Transatlantic Race 2015 under IRC handicap, but the title remains under threat from boats yet to finish. Similarly, her impressive course time is likely to be bettered by the maxis which started four days after her.

Due to accidentally shearing off the bleed screw when bleeding the fuel systems after a fuel filter change, we need to change the feed pump (sometimes called a lift pump, or bleed pump). 00:00 bleeding the engine 01:25 disaster strikes - we shear the bleed screw off inside the pump housing 03:05 installing the new pump 05:28 fuel leak around the filter... identify and rectify the fault 06:02 fixed the problem. Run engine for test, clean up.
