After a MUCH needed day of rest in White Bluff. Nicole & I had a super slow and relaxing sail downwind to Mathewtown. The main, and only town in Great Inagua. This is the 5th visit to HH Catamarans to see progress on our HH52 being built. We're now only about 6 weeks away from completion. Finishes and details are looking good. Our first 2 pre production tenders are ready as well. I'm really hoping this will be the ultimate world cruising catamaran for a couple. I guess time will tell.

Come scegliere il gommone giusto? Ecco una guida rapida con tutto quello che devi sapere! In questo video di Nautica in Pillole, ti spieghiamo come scegliere il gommone più adatto alle tue esigenze in base a lunghezza, tipo di carena, materiali dei tubolari, utilizzo e potenza motore. 1. Lunghezza e Patente Nautica: Gommoni senza patente: fino a 6-6,5 metri, motori fino a 40 cv. Gommoni carrellabili: generalmente fino a 9 metri, pratici per vacanze e spostamenti. Gommoni oltre i 9 metri: richiedono ormeggio fisso, adatti a chi non ha limiti di budget o spazio. 2. Materiale della Carena: Gommone smontabile (fino a 4,5 metri): leggero, economico, facile da trasportare nel bagagliaio dell'auto o camper, ideale per brevi escursioni e approdi diretti in spiaggia. Carena rigida in vetroresina: più diffusa, permette comfort e stabilità maggiori, ideale per navigazioni più impegnative e barche più attrezzate con spazi e cabine. Carena rigida in alluminio: più leggera della vetroresina, robusta e resistente agli urti. 3. Materiale dei Tubolari: Neoprene-Hypalon: materiale premium, resistente, morbido al tatto, longevo (oltre 25-30 anni se ben conservato), più costoso ma ideale per gommoni grandi e di alta qualità. PVC: più economico, produzione industriale veloce, meno resistente nel lungo periodo ma perfetto per tender e piccoli gommoni. 4. Tipologia di Utilizzo: Pesca: gommone ampio e stabile, spazioso per muoversi liberamente. Relax e prendere il sole: privilegiati i prendisole ampi e comodi. Attività sportive (wakeboard, sub, kitesurf): spazio libero a bordo, con una console comoda e punti di appoggio sicuri. Navigazione tranquilla: piccoli gommoni gonfiabili o con carena morbida per escursioni tranquille, vicino alla costa. 5. Potenza del Motore: Senza patente: massimo 40 cv, rispetta il limite indicato dal costruttore. Con patente: motori da oltre 40 cv, la scelta dipende dall'uso, velocità e tipo di navigazione desiderati. Più potenza offre riserva utile ma deve essere coerente con le caratteristiche strutturali del gommone.
