We explore Morgans Bluff on Andros Island and then sail south to Fresh Creek/Andros Town. We continue to enjoy and adapt to Island Time and slip away into the beauty of this area. We do some dinghy rides up the river and try some local snorkeling around the boat, even helping save a Moray Eel! Mit unserer Topaz Magno geht’s erneut raus in die Kieler Bucht – direkt vor dem Olympiahafen Kiel-Schilksee. Diesmal zeigen wir ausschließlich die spannendsten Szenen des Törns: die Gleitfahrten bei 4 Beaufort und alle 6 Kenterungen. Die Magno ist eine extrem agile kleine Jolle: nur ca. 3,94 m lang, 1,56 m breit, ~95 kg Rumpfgewicht, Großsegel ca. 8 m², Fock 2 m² und Gennaker 10–11 m². Perfekt, um Gennaker-Segeln und Gewichtstrimm zu üben – aber auch herrlich kippelig. Bei den Gleitpassagen überschreiten wir klar die theoretische Rumpfgeschwindigkeit von ~9 km/h und erreichen mit Gennaker teils ~16 km/h auf flacher See. Die direkte, nervöse Lenkung und die minimale Trägheit machen die Magno so spannend: jede kleine Gewichtsverlagerung zählt – und jede Böe kann die nächste Kenterung bringen.
