It's all about the circles! This week felt a bit like Christmas. We have been impatiently waiting for some very special “wants” to arrive and they have finally made it. Supply issues this past year have made parts orders very trying and we are doing our best to not get caught up in the stress of shipping dates and actual delivery time. But there is no better feeling when the email or phone call comes to let you know that your item is in. We have very few jobs left on Honu before we start heading North. It seems that all the final odds and ends can’t be completed until the last-minute deliveries show up. But when they do, we are back at it. Polishing, fixing, and contorting our bodies to get the job done. There is a strange feeling that we are getting in this boat. A feeling of anticipation and security. The “Must be completed” jobs are coming to an end. It’s like we can see the finish line to get moving and we KNOW that our ship is secure. We have been through this boat over, and over, and over again. It feels good knowing all the intimate details of Honu Time and the fun stuff is about to begin!
