We had a mad rush to stretch our Dyneema on the special apparatus we had built in the garden. We had to finish before we left Manchester, and the shrouds were not finished until less than a week before we moved. These shrouds and stays were both much longer and thicker than we have done before, that meant big challenges for our garden rig. We are now living aboard full-time and this work had to be done if we are going to be able to get our main mast up. The 3rd PAPA Regatta made its debut in Croatia in May 2019, bringing together over 150 sailors from six countries — Belarus, Croatia, Germany, Israel, Russia, and Ukraine — to compete across 19 yachts. What followed was an unforgettable blend of high-stakes racing and vibrant onshore celebrations. Each day delivered steady winds and dynamic competition on the water, with no dull moments and no need to wait for wind. Despite the unseasonably cool and cloudy weather, the conditions were ideal for sailing — even if a swim had to wait. Off the water, the regatta turned into a true festival of friendship and fun, filled with laughter, creative contests, and dancing that went on long after sunset. It was a perfect fusion of adrenaline and joy, making PAPA Regatta 2019 a week to remember. Argh mates! We're just getting out on lake Lewisville for some boating, camping and cove action this summer 2025. The rain storms have set us on a different sailing path.
