Grenada is a former British colony, and as such, celebrates Boxing Day. The conventional view is that the national holiday comes from a time when the wealthy in Britain would allow the servants the day off after Christmas, since they were needed to serve the Christmas feast. They would take a box with gifts, bonuses, and perhaps leftover food to their families on December 26. 🎁

Since visiting and then purchasing MacMac in late October, the intervening weeks between then and Christmas have been packed with preparation! Four truck loads packed into 4 crates - all my worldly yachting possessions!. Some amazing cooking instruction from Gary Gamble - "Maximise Taste with Minimum Effort" was the order of the day. So hopefully we won't starve on route to Barcelona :-) Thanks to everyone for all your help in getting us this far!!

This video is courtesy of Alex del Olmo @naucratesuw This short movie focuses on hard and soft corals in Raja Ampat during my season on board The Seven Seas Cruises. Each diver has its preferences. Some love big fish and pelagics, others turtles, some of them colorful nudibranchs. To me without any doubt my favorite subjects are corals. My heart is filled with happiness when I dive in a healthy reef in brisk current. It is more challenging to shoot them but you get the greatest reward: polyps broadly open and feeding, soft corals displaying their whole magnificent and colorful shape. Raja Ampat and Misool area are probably the best place in the world to witness this fascinating and unique ecosystem.
