We went to Newtown Creek to hide from strong winds and spent a few days there but as we were there UK went into lockdown and we couldn’t leave the island. We spent about a month on the island and we used the opportunity to explore. On this video we take you on a little walk from Newtown Creek to Yarmouth which is a town, port and civil parish in the west of the Isle of Wight. The town is named for its location at the mouth of the small Western Yar river. After a very muddy walk we explored the town and got some diesel. We went to Ryde where we could see the extent of Ryde Sands as we got there on low tide. And finally we went to Ventnor a seaside resort and civil parish established in the Victorian era on the southeast coast of the island, built on steep slopes leading down to the sea. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset as we walked to Steephill Cove, a traditional, unspoilt fishing cove with a safe, sandy beach, nestled between rocky cliffs and smugglers' coves. In this video, COVID-19 Lockdown and Sailing Samana, Dominican Republic, we sail from Luperon to Samana Dominican Republic and enjoy a few days checking out the local scene before the country goes in to a COVID-19 lockdown, closing the boarders so we can't leave for 2 weeks. During this time they allowed us to visit the National Park of Las Haitises in the Bahia de San Lorenzo area of Samana Bay. This park is famous for the filming of Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean. We do some hiking trails and explore some ancient caves complete with cave art drawings.
