Finding our Groove – Dazcat 10 Belladonna at the Ullman Offshore Series

With near-perfect conditions, if a little light, D10 Belladonna headed out to play. The Ullman Offshore Series 25-miler provided the ideal opportunity to stretch her legs and make the most of both the weather and a free day. While Belladonna isn’t racing the series, it was exactly the sort of day that rewards going sailing anyway and we think you’ll enjoy a sunny sail down the coast with us. With four of us on board it’s a fairly rare opportunity to get an up close look at handling the D10 - more hands = more time for media! By happy coincidence, it turned into a race of co-owned multihulls. The three MOCRA boats on the start line were D10 Belladonna, her sister ship D995R Easy Tiger, and Corsair F28 Panoramix. Panoramix was sailed by Andy and Hannah of Highwater Sails, with Andy co-owning the boat alongside Brendan, our Projects Manager and on this day joined by Bruce, owner of Dazcat 1150 Bare Necessities, also on board. As ever, the boats and crews mixed it up: friends, customers, suppliers, colleagues, sometimes competitors and sometimes crewmates. Out on the water, it all levels out. We’re all there for the same reason — to sail hard, enjoy the moments, and have a great time sailing great boats.
