The issues of pre-empting warranty claims, the steps in a claim, the importance of allowing the yacht builder to properly assess any damage that has occurred and the value to you in registering and essential info that will make successful warranty claims and understand how the companies view the repairs are all discussed. A good point raised by one of our viewers (thanks Trent) is that the local laws in each country also varies in relation to what is allowed to be done or not done, what should be covered by warranty and even if the warranty documents from your brand of boat is written and signed by you, the local laws take precedence. For example in Dubai, 2 years warranty is obligatory by law and US law enforces that the company cannot force you to use their products or their mechanics(thanks Bill).
