I finally have a weather window!! A lovely lady at the marina said that the port will be opened for less than 24 hours, before waves from another distant storm will reach the coast and it will be locked again. And with that, I've left Porto and headed further south to Aveiro. You can't really appreciate the wave heights in the video, but watch for the shoreline, as it appears and disappears with each wave. Port of Aveiro was closed for vessels 15 meters or less, but fortunately Mirage is 15.5! Fantastic fast sailing in big waves and 25+ winds with late evening arrival in Aveiro. Had to use my night vision equipment to navigate the harbor and find a good anchorage spot! Heaven Can Wait! :)

I've spent some quality time homeless, I've struggled financially most of my life, and although I'm blessed with great friends and family as well as being able bodied white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to travel the world. You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharing my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time. - Where are you now? Follow me kitesurfing one of the best spots in Qatar, the Fuwairit lagoon. It has fun open sea conditions on the east side, and a flat water lagoon on the other side, useable with high tide only. The spot offers amazing conditions for a big part of the year, let's say October until June! Outside of that time it is too hot and less windy.. As we pass through the great deserts, along dusty, seldom used tracks, we see loads of wrecks along the side of the road. We pop into a few iconic pubs for a beer or two and experience the last few nights of tranquility in the Australian bush. The riders have a go at Magnus’ races and eventually the tour ends up in Fremantle, Western Australia, at the Indian Ocean, after a 17 day trip across this vast land.
