Sunrise Yachts was established on 10,000 square meters of Mediterranean coastline in Southern Turkey. The yacht-building facility has two halls, measuring 100 meters long (328 feet) and 16 meters (53 feet) wide, as well as a 70-meter (230-foot)-by-16-meter (53-foot) fully acclimatized, laboratory-style paint shed, that can accommodate new construction and refit projects up to 65 meters (213 feet) in length and 1,200 tons displacement. Along each side of the yacht-building facility, space is available for long-term sub-contractors with the latest equipment and logistics capabilities, along with air-conditioned storage, ventilation and extraction plants. The shipyard is organized as an "assembler," based loosely on the car industry's model, with a small, yet powerful project management team charged with running all the in-house long-term sub-contractors. We also provide contemporary amenities for visiting specialists, regulation authority representatives and Sunrise Yachts owners. Our workshops and offices were designed specifically for our team members, experienced craftsmen whose focus is to achieve a level of quality surpassing that expected by the most discriminating yachtsmen. Our priority at Sunrise Yachts is to please people: not only those who buy our luxurious yachts, but also the ones who build them.

In January 2015, The racing stable founded by Baron Benjamin de Rothschild announced it’d return to the great planetary adventure that is the Vendée Globe, the focus of which was the creation of a new boat in line with the aims of Sebastien Josse ans the Gitana Team. After severals months build phase at the Multiplast yard in Vannes, the Mono60 Edmond de Rothschild hit the water for the first time. This video is the overall presentation of the Imoca Gitana. New duplex propshaft with a new tube, cutlass housing, Tides marine shaft seal Replaces the Generator with a new Beta Gen7 with an acoustic cover. New copper fuel lines with Racor 500 twin filter for main engine and Racor 500’s for the Generator and fuel polisher. Twin 12v 100A alternators with a Adverc controller. Adverc 12v to 24v electronic battery chargers (2 x 10A). Rewired for 230vac with an isolation transformer and a Victron multiplus 3600/120. New twin coil 25l calorifier with 230vac immersion heater. 125l Tek Tank holding tank with 2” gravity discharge and pump out facility. Refurbished 230vac Seafresh watermaker plumbed in. All new domestic battery’s and cabling (95mm for inverter). Teak side decks and balsa core removed and replaced with Epoxy Glass over Corecell. New vertical Quick windlass fitted with new chain pipe. New custom stemhead with twin rollers. Steering system rebuilt with new Lewmar engine controls, all bearing renewed, new stainless-steel cables, new rudder top and bottom bearings. Rudder split and rebuilt and a new custom stainless rudder heel fitting. New Stainless bathing platform with integrated five ste p swim ladder. All new Alcantara type cushions fitted to the Saloon and fore cabin. Most light converted to 12v LED type. Dometic Cruseair 9000btu reverse cycle air conditioning in aft cabin. In our last Fiberglass resin test (https://youtu.be/LKEbaiaqAOQ ) the material didn't set up. I then attempted it again at that same time and that test also didn't work. Now a few weeks later, the temperatures are warmer and we did the test again and this time it looks like success. In this video we cover what went wrong in test 2 and more importantly how we did get it to work and what the issue was. Join us in this episode to see how to lay fiberglass on the boat deck (test peice). The purpose of these tests are to determine how we will resurface our Formosa 51 deck. Epoxy or Polyester and then more importantly what process and product will we use. What was easier to work with, stronger, and more cost effective. All of these factor into this decision given the size of the job. The 18ft Skiffs were back on Sydney Harbour today when the Australian 18 Footers League conducted Race 1 of the 7-race Spring Championship to open the 2017-2018 Season. Conditions were steady from the North East for the 14-boat fleet and the race provided a drama-free dayu for many of the new teams.
