Black Point has quickly become one of our favorite stops in the Exumas so we’re happy to spend an extra few days here while we wait for Lorraine’s mom to return to the island to get our hands on some of her famous bread. We venture to the neighboring island of Bitter Guana to meet the prehistoric iguanas that live here (it’s a protected habitat for them so visitors are encouraged not to touch or harass them). It’s really cool to see them up close, living their best lives on the beautiful beaches of this island. They aren’t as gross or aggressive as the famous swimming pigs, so if you have the chance to go say hi to these guys, we definitely recommend it! Before we head to our next destination, we’ve got to take care of the not-so-fun chores that come with living aboard a sailboat. We were lucky to get in and explore cayo centro and the untamed local crocodiles. Not too many boats venture here so it was fun finding our way around with eyeball navigation. 5 years and this jack is still going as we lift our Jeep to plug the tire. I know we have had a mixed bit of feedback about this jack, Positive and Negative. This is a great gift for people that drive and may not have the ability to break the lugs loose or pump the jack to lift the car. For all that can lift there car and want to carry a floor jack, or battery impact, or whatever solution you use, that is great, you do you. In this video we talk about this eclectic jack, how long we have used it, the construction, and why is the color orange. We then jack up the rear tire on the jeep with no issues, and yes these tires are not factory at 32 inches. We then pull out the nail in the tire and plug it, all things we have added to our jack kit to make it better for us. The tire plugs can be harder to get in so those who can't do this part, a jack kit like this is still a great option to change the tire to a spare. We replaced the 30 year old couch in our boat. Because the doorways on the boat are smaller that normal, we had to disassemble and cut up the old couch to dispose of it. We also had to replace it with furniture that could be brought on the boat easily and assembled inside the boat. We looked at rv and boat specific furniture, but ended up buying from a "conventional" furniture company. We bought a great modular system that has proven to be very comfortable. It will also be very easy to disassemble should the need arise. Just another day in boat and van life and small space living!
