In Downtown West Palm Beach in Florida, the Palm Beach International Boat Show welcomed thousands of visitors and featured more than $1.2 billion worth of yachts and accessories. Our Fraser team had the opportunity to mix and mingle, and welcome clients while assisting with all their yachting needs. On display, we exhibited the newest delivered Westport in the global sales market, 112' Westport tintin. She features a refreshing light and airy interior with 4 staterooms one of which is a currently set up as a gym. Unique to tintin, the flybridge can be fully enclosed and air conditioned and is completely customized with a fully teak deck, a stunning wet bar, whirlpool jacuzzi, sunbed and lounging areas with space aft for tender and toy storage. Leading up to the Palm Beach International Boat Show, our CEO Raphael Sauleau and our Senior Manager of Yacht Services, Peter Selivanoff spoke as industry experts at several exciting forums sharing their unique insight on varying topics. Hosted by Marine Money, Raphael spoke in a one-on-one interview at the 2022 Palm Beach Superyacht Finance Forum, while Peter was on the panel of Super Yacht Americas: The Future of Superyachting speaking on the topic of New Trends in Yacht Management. We look forward to seeing you at the next yacht show! Click here to view other upcoming events: https://www.fraseryachts.com/en/boat-shows/

#sailing #sailingfamily #travel #boatlife #dogs #cats

The weather is good so I eek out one last sail of the season before we have to take the Black pig home. There was a big storm all last week, which is why they emptied the lake of water!! But this week you can see where the waterline got to and also there are boats all over the place!! The wetsuit is on! and after a quick check over of Black pig and the road trailer we rig up and launch in some fair winds. The launch is difficult as it's a "lee shore", meaning the wind is pushing us back onto shore. If you watch the launch carefully you can see I can't get enough power into pushing me off, so I make sure I have enough room to reverse and veer into the wind until I catch it fully. The novice has come of age!!! ;-) Afternoticing the jibstick found itself a new home on the boat, we try and put together everything we've learned in the season. We start with a tack, then a gybe the a lee-shore landing that doesn't quite go to plan. You can actually see my launch trolley left on the slipway it's so quiet today I thought it would be fine. We relaunch and attempt to Heave-to. After 5 attempts we manage it. I think I need to control my mainsail better and have the daggerboard all the way down. Next up is the 270 degree Tack. This is a really useful manouvre to learn as in high winds where a gybe can be risky, you can do this instead. A nice little sail, was almost like a mini self exam to prove to myself how well I can now sail. Really sad though as it's going to be the last time I sail on Lake Bala for a while. 00:00 The aftermath of the storm 00:39 Assessing the weather 01:03 Canoes everywhere! 01:55 Checking Black Pig and the road trailer 03:04 My new gloves 04:18 Dinghy sign is in! 05:03 Mid-morning snack 05:24 The wind is up 05:53 Launching from a lee-shore 06:56 trimming the mainsail for higher winds 07:34 The jibstick hitched a lift! 07:50 First tack of the day 09:10 Mysterious red marker 09:26 First Gybe of the day 10:52 Landing the boat on a lee-shore 13:48 Heaving-to practise 17:18 270 degree Tack 18:48 Back home

This DIY cart is perfect for any kayak, All together this cart cost me $35.00. The wheels where the bulk of the price. This particular cart has hauled over 100lbs of gear with no indication of stress. Some day I think I'm going to test the stress limit, but for now, I need to be nice to it. Because, I'm poor.. haha

Ella the Tug (https://www.instagram.com/ellathetug/) Music by Dog Trainer (https://soundcloud.com/user-149413089) Really appreciate the support, check out the Patreon for more access and perks: https://www.patreon.com/FindingSimon If Patreon isn't your thing, I also have a Paypal.me link: paypal.me/ShelbyandSimon I've also created an Amazon Wish List if you'd like to purchase specific items I'll need as the build continues: http://a.co/dx7F4dz I'm a Canadian photographer from Ottawa who got rid of everything to travel to world. I make travel vlogs sharing my ups and downs, adventures on motorbikes, sailboats, and vans. Instagram: @Finding_Simon Snapchat: Finding_Simon Twitter: @FindingSimon Donations: paypal.me/ShelbyandSimon Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/FindingSimon Merchandise: http://simonstiles.com/finding-simon/ :::::::FAQ::::::: - How do you afford to travel constantly? A: I travel really cheap, free camping, cooking my own meals, being as efficient as possible. I make my income almost entirely on YouTube but it's really tight. Ad revenue, patreon, paypal donations, merchandise sales and affiliate links bring in about as much as a part time minimum wage job, and I'm able to make that work. When it isn't enough I go back to work, doing photography mostly, sometimes commercial video projects, but it takes me away from my travels and videos. - How much does it cost? I spend on average $2000 travelling, most of which is gas, some repairs, food, and on average less than $200 on any eating out, shopping or extra curricular expenditures. I make $200 a month from YouTube and $400 from Patreon. The rest I make from my work. - What camera do you use? Sony A7ii, DJI Mavic Pro, Rode Videomic with Deadcat, Zihyun Crane 3 Axis Gimbal, DIY tripods and lights. - What is your bike? 1999 Yamaha Vstar XVS1100 with a Champion Escort sidecar. - What kind of boat is that? It's a 1979 Wharram Oro 47 - What're your plans? Fix it up, run nothing but green power, sail off into the sunset. - How do you find all these cool places? To gain access to my complete research you need to hit me up on Patreon, but here's a few sites I frequent: https://freecampsites.net/ https://www.campendium.com/ http://www.atlasobscura.com/ https://www.couchsurfing.com/ - What do you do for Internet? I use coffeeshops and libraries to upload episodes a few at a time, I also use my wifi antenna (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5T9lNM8Mukk&t=2s) and a data package on my phone (10GB) - How do you live on the road with a dog? It's really not as difficult as people seem to think. I spend most of the day with my dog anyways, especially if it's warm out in the middle of the day. I let the constraint of bringing my dog with me help me make some decisions, avoiding places that ban dogs, and spending more time out in nature instead of in the cities. - What happened to the girl? We decided to go separate ways (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPgxDIXxCjY&t=4s) - Are you rich or something? definitely not. I've spent some quality time homeless, I've struggled financially most of my life, and although I'm blessed with great friends and family as well as being able bodied white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to travel the world. You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharing my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time. - Where are you now? The top perk on my Patreon page is a live link of my location on google maps so you can get an active idea of where I am currently. If that's not an option for you there's also Instagram and Instagram stories that give you a much better idea of what I'm up to today.
