We spend five wonderful days anchored up river near Saltash free of charge on the south coast! We have perfect protection form the southerly blows out at sea and enjoy our time at a slow pace. Its easy to access the local town Saltash by dinghy where we can purchase provisions and watch the world go by while we drink coffee. We manage to find some delights for a picnic which we take ashore on the skippers birthday. We explore the gardens of Anthony Place and have a wonderful picnic in the shade of the woods on a very warm day. It was made all the more special by our friends Carol and Ceri joining us from Wakonda. A lovely days celebrations. We then head into Plymouth to take a tour of the citadel. We’re back in Cape Canaveral, FL. Met up with friends and learned about upgrading the GoPro. Had to batten down the hatches for a late season tropical storm. Enjoyed the holidays with a visit to see the lights in St. Augustine. In this episode we work our way to the Northern end of the Sea of Cortez. We stop at a nice anchorage called Puerto Refugio only to find out the bugs would drive us crazy. An early departure from this anchorage then took us to Puerto Peñasco where we prepared for our haul out. Once prepped, we hauled, then drilled a hole in our rudder to check for water, and finally had the boat sandblasted at the Cabrales boatyard.
